“Good morning, baby girl…” I hear Malachi say, his voice deep and groggy.

“G-good morning…” I reply, trying to catch my breath.

“I’m heading up to the cabin to see what I can find for breakfast. I’ll be right back.”

He must have read the message from Dean by now.

“Okay. I’ll be here.”

Once I know he’s left the cabin, I return my attention to my clit as thoughts run through my head about the conversation they’re about to have.

After just a few seconds, the high from my orgasm kicks in again and I come so hard that I nearly collapse.

I quickly rinse myself off and step out, wrapping a towel around me before walking out of the bathroom to find something to wear. I pick a turquoise sundress and a pair of slip on shoes to match.

As I’m pulling the sundress over my head, I hear a knock at the door. I pull the sundress on the rest of the way and walk over to answer it.

“Good morning, sunshine!” Sammi exclaims, pushing her way past me into the cabin.

“You’re chipper today,” I say with a smirk.

“It’s gorgeous out there!”

“Yeah, it’s supposed to be pretty hot today. Did we bring sunscreen?”

She shakes her head no. “I didn’t.”

“There might be somewhere close we can go to buy some.”

Sammi sits down on the edge of the bed. “So—how was the rest of your night?” she asks.

“It was… weird.”

“How so?”

“Malachi—he’s acting strange.”

She smirks. “Does it have anything to do with the game we played last night? He didn’t seem to enjoy himself much.”

I nod my head and make my way over to sit beside her. “Honestly, I have no clue.”

I reach for the brush on the night stand and before I can run it through my hair, Sammi grabs it and starts to brush my hair.

“Maybe he has more secrets than he cares to tell…”

IwalkthroughDean’sfront door, hoping that he’s still fast asleep, but when I smell coffee, I know he’s not.

Heading into the kitchen, I look all around, expecting to see him, but the kitchen is empty.

I read the message he sent me this morning, and I don’t have it in me to discuss anything with him.

I open the fridge door and grab the container of strawberries, and when I turn back around, Dean is standing by the island with his eyes held on me.

“Morning…” I say, hoping that he’ll just keep his mouth shut.

“What the fuck was with you last night?” he asks.

“Look, Nikki doesn’t know anything about how I actually know you, and I’d like to keep it that way. At least until I’m ready to explain everything to her.”
