I close my eyes and he slams my head into the steering wheel again. “I said, look at me!” he rages.

I finally open my eyes, barely able to see a thing. I’m so lightheaded that I can’t even feel the pain anymore. Just when I feel like I’m about to pass out, he reaches up and slaps me across the face. I open my mouth to holler out, but not a single sound comes out.

He chuckles, taking the opportunity to spit down into my open mouth. I gag when it hits my tongue. “Fuck yeah, keep that mouth wide open for me, princess,” he moans.

“Please—” I barely manage to say.

“You sound so pretty when you beg for it,” he says, pushing me back down toward his cock.

As soon as his cock pushes past my lips, I bite down as hard as I can, causing him to scream and pull me back up by my hair. I reach for the keys in the ignition, stabbing it into his leg as I lean back into the passenger’s seat and open the door.

I grab my bag and take off running into the darkness, not caring which direction I’m running in. I finally stumble into a section of thick trees and find one to hide behind, hoping that he was unable to run after me.

I place my hand over my mouth to quiet myself as I reach into my bag to fetch my phone. I need to call Sammi.

Suddenly, I hear the engine of the car roar to life. Only, instead of driving into my direction, he pulls back onto the road and drives away. When I can’t see the tail-lights anymore, I unlock my phone and dial Sammi’s number.

Thankfully, she answers after just the second ring. “Hello?”

“Sammi…I need you to come get me!” I exclaim.

“What the fuck did he do? Where are you?” she asks in a panic.

“I’ll drop you a pin. I’m behind a fucking tree—in the woods. He’s fucking insane, Sammi!”

“Drop the pin, Jeremy and I will be there as soon as we can.”

I end the call and scroll to my maps, sharing my location with her and turning my screen off just in case Justin decides to turn back around to find me.

Not even ten minutes later, I hear a car approaching the road, stopping right about where Justin had parked.

“Nikki!” I hear Sammi holler out, so I come out from behind the tree and take off running toward where I can see her silhouette.

As soon as I get to her, I grab hold of her, hugging her so tight that she winces.

“Babe, what the fuck happened?” she asks, opening the car door for me to get into the backseat. She then hops in beside me, wrapping her arms around me as I sob.

“He—” I can barely take a breath, let alone speak.

“Shhh, take a breath, Nikki. You can tell me when you’re ready,” she says. “Jeremy, drive to the hospital.”

“No!” I holler out, lifting my head to look at Jeremy through the rear-view mirror. “No hospital. They’ll call the police.”

“And?” Sammi asks. “Whatever he did has to be reported at the very least.”

“I’m fine. Just shaken up—that’s all.”

Jeremy turns around to look at me with a disgruntled look on his face. “Are you sure?” he asks.

“Yes, I’m sure. Just take me home, please,” I reply, resting my head against Sammi’s chest again.

If only I had listened to her earlier. None of this would have happened.

And now—Justin is still out there, probably plotting his revenge.

“I’msosorry,Malachi,”I whisper. “I wish I could explain everything, but I’m not ready to re-live that moment.”

“Hey, no pressure. No means no, Nikki,” he assures me, removing his hand from the top of my leg.
