He then calls out to Sammi in the background, asking her what time I should head over.
“Eight?” he questions.
“Sounds good to me. I’ll be there. Do you need me to bring anything?”
“Just yourself. We have plenty of alcohol here.”
“I don’t really drink much.”
“That’s fine.”
“Okay, I’ll see you all at eight then.”
I end the call and head to the bathroom to hop through the shower. This time, even though I really want to, I refrain from jerking off to the thought of Nikki.
Even still, I’m getting hard just imagining how soft her skin must be.
“He’llbeheresoon! How do I look?” I ask Sammi after changing into the fifth dress so far in an hour.
“Trust me, Nikki—that man doesn’t give a fuck what you’re wearing.” She chuckles, handing me a pair of slip on shoes that match the dress I’m wearing.
It’s nothing super fancy. Just a sleek daisy print sundress that barely covers my ass. Most of the dress is yellow, aside from the flowers themselves.
“Why am I like this? I bet I’ll end up talking too much and he’ll walk away tonight, thinking I’m the most annoying person on the planet.”
Sammi just shakes her head and rolls her eyes. “You’re fine as fuck. You know it, I know it… hell—even our damn delivery driver knows it. You’re overthinking, babe.”
“I still think this might be too much.”
“It’s not. I’m not letting you change again. You’re stressing yourself out. Cut the shit and just put those damn shoes on.”
“You’re so damn bossy. Has anyone ever told you that before?” I half-laugh as I slide the yellow shoes on my feet.
“You tell me that all the time.” She lets out a devilish laugh, motioning for me to follow her out of my bedroom.
When we finally reach my front door, she peeks out the window and a wide grin forms on her face. “He’s here already,” she teases, reaching for the door handle.
“Wait!” I exclaim, tugging on her shirt. “Do I smell okay?”
“For fuck’s sake, Nikki. I wanna slap you, you know that?” She opens the door and I head out behind her, not bothering to lock it behind me, since I’m just going next door anyway.
When we walk into Sammi’s house, I don’t see or hear Jeremy or Malachi, so we head out back, finding them sitting on the patio, chatting away.
That is, until Malachi spots me. It’s almost like time completely stops and he cuts himself off mid-sentence, staring at me like he wants to eat me.
“Sorry we took so long.” Sammi leads off as we sit down across from the two of them.
“Not a problem, babe,” Jeremy says, handing Sammi an unopened beer. He then points one in my direction. “Are you sure you don’t want one, Nikki?”
“Fuck it. I guess I will. It’s just one, right?” I happily take the beer from Jeremy and try to open it, but I can’t.
Next thing I know, Malachi reaches over and grabs the bottle from my hands, opening it with his forearm in seconds. If I wasn’t enthralled with him before, I sure am now.
I’ll need this fucking beer just to find enough courage to actually talk to him face to face. I’ve never had this problem before. I’m a relatively chatty person, but he’s… different. He scares me a little.
Not in the ‘he’s terrifying and I think he’ll probably try to murder me’ type of scary. More so— ‘I’m pretty sure I’m going to fall for this man hard and I definitely shouldn’t.’
He hands the bottle back to me and I smile. “Thank you,” I simply say.
