He shook his head again.
“Then I trust that even if they find out, they will keep my secret,” I reassured him and brought my lips to his for a chaste but warm kiss.
The car came to a halt, and Nikolas came out and held the door open for us. He followed us into the private jet and went to speak to the pilot while I guided Luke to the back.
His shoulders were hunched, and his eyes darting from one side to the other.
“Wow. That’s…”
“Yeah,” I said and brought my hands to his hips, pressing his back to my chest and leaning my head next to his. “But you’re more.”
I could see his skin turning lighter around his cheeks, so I stretched my neck and planted a kiss on one of them before I showed him to a seat.
Nikolas came out of the cockpit and took a seat in the front, and soon the plane roared to life.
“You’re not going to tell me where we’re going until we land, are you?” Luke asked.
I shook my head with a grin, and he huffed. I reached for his crotch and buckled his seatbelt as we soared into the skies.
It only took us an hour and a half to get there, and I served us some drinks and canapes to pass the time while Luke told me about his kids at school and how excited he was that he could see the kids he started with a few years ago become smarter, compassionate beings.
He sounded like he loved his job a lot, and that made him even more heart-warming. He was in it for the right reasons and frustrated with the right things. Which was why he was the perfect guest for my event later today. He could offer insight into the American school system and how reform was essential for all of Europe, if not the world, instead of sticking to traditional, more old-fashioned ways of learning.
Once we landed, Nikolas drove us in the private car we used when on the island, and Luke’s head stuck outside the window the whole ride.
“Okay. We’re in Spain, right?” he said, pointing to the street signs.
I nodded.
“Come on, where are we? I thought you were going to tell me when we landed,” he insisted.
I laughed and took his hand in mine. I brought it to my lips and kissed it.
“We’re in Ibiza,” I said.
Luke gasped and looked back outside.
“How the hell did you manage that? I don't even have my passport.”
“Don't worry about that. It's all been taken care of,” I said, kissing his knuckles.
He pierced me with his eyes, and I couldn’t help but look back at them.
“I don’t know if I should be creeped out by the amount of power you have or turned on,” he said.
I laughed.
“I think I’d rather prefer the latter.”
Luke released his hand from my grip and placed it on the back of my nape, bringing his mouth to mine for yet another tame kiss.
I couldn’t wait until we were home so that we could turn the tameness into something wild.
After another half-hour ride, we finally reached the house.
Nikolas typed something on the dashboard, and the dark oak doors swung open to let us into the long drive up to the house.
Palm trees and all kinds of foliage danced with the gentle breeze on either side of the paved drive. Some of them acted as an extra amount of cover for the main house, too, so that no one could snap pictures of me or my family when we were here on holidays.
