With Claud dropping demons in the pit, the number has dwindled. It’s a bit more manageable, but we still have Campe, Typhon, and Hecate to deal with.

“What’s the plan?” Jayden asks.

Typhon roars, slamming a huge fist on the ground, and a rumble nearly knocks me off my feet. Raven catches me with a grin.

“You okay?” I ask.

“Good as new.” She nods.

“Okay, we need someone to look for the helm while we distract the others,” I say, glancing between the three of them.

“No, no bait,” Jayden growls.

“Not bait. A distraction from whoever is searching for the helm. Plus, I want to take Hecate down a peg.” I grin.

“You want to go up against a goddess and the father of all monsters,” Raven says slowly.

“Don’t forget that bully Campe,” I say, flicking my whip at a demon and turning it to ash.

It regenerates immediately but backs off when Claud stomps closer to us.

“Me help?” he asks with wide eyes.

“You have been the biggest help,” I say.

Claud beams down at me.

Typhon slams another fist down on the ground and spiderweb cracks form on the ground as the big ugly bastard pulls himself out of the pit.

He makes Claud look small. I grimace as Campe slithers toward him.

“Brother, there you are,” she sings. “These demigods want to let my captive go.”

She fake pouts and I want to run her through, but I don’t have my sword.

Typhon grunts and stands to his full height. The legends of him being as tall as the sky are fucking accurate.

How the hell are we supposed to defeat someone who nearly took out my dad after the Titan war?

“How the fuck do we fight this thing?” Raven asks, chewing her lip.

“We don’t. We distract him long enough to find the helm and then hope like hell that Hades is strong enough to fight him and put him back in the pit.” I duck a demon’s claws and Raven swings her ax, taking its head.

“Okay then,” Jayden says. “Raven and I will distract Typhon while you and Adrian find the helm.”

I’m going to punch him in his fucking head.

“No,” I say, crossing my arms over my chest.

Claud scoops up the last of the demons and chucks them at the pit. They shriek as they fall into the abyss.

“Good job, Claud,” I say.

“Claud help.” He grins.

“Yup,” Raven says. “You have been a great help. Can you distract big ugly for us?”

That’s actually a brilliant idea but I’m afraid for the cyclops. He has the mentality of a child and Typhon is the father of all monsters for a reason.
