It snorts, stamping its foot like the bull man it is.

“Still not my name, idiot.” I smirk and pull my blade, letting my electricity overtake it.

Hekate’s eyes widen.

Not so smug now, are you?

The blade in my hand has the monster pausing briefly before it roars out a sound suspiciously like a moo and charges me.

I dodge him easily, slashing out with my blade on my way past him and cutting his thigh.

A roar of rage leaves the beast, and his leg starts to buckle, but he catches himself. Turning back to me, he charges again, but he’s a lot slower than he was before.

Greyson’s huge wolf stalks it from behind. I flinch. I don’t want him to get knocked out again like last time, but if he wants a piece of this bastard, then he is entitled to it.

Greyson flies at the monster, his fangs latching on to the Minotaur’s ass.

A giggle escapes me. “Not sure that’s the piece of him you wanted, Greyson.”

Raven bursts out laughing as the Minotaur starts spinning in circles like a dog trying to chase its tail in an attempt to dislodge Greyson’s wolf.

Greyson finally releases it and jumps away, easily dodging the huge fist that strikes out at him.

“Babe, you’re washing your mouth out with fucking bleach before you even think about kissing me.” Raven chuckles, but yeah…ewww.

The beast roars, swiping at Greyson again. Greyson dodges, and Raven jumps on the beast’s back, taking its focus off Greyson.

Its arms aren’t long enough to grab her, and it’s too stupid to just drop on its back and crush her.

“A little help would be nice,” Raven yells as the stupid beast turns in circles again. “This is going to make me dizzy.”

“Use your blade. You’re right by his head,” I shout to her.

“Kind of hard to do that when I’m holding on for my life,” she yells back.

I dart in, slashing at his other leg with my electric blade, and he stumbles. Raven rolls off his back as he falls to his knees. I slash out again, removing the head from his body.

The beast crumbles to dust.

Hekate curses loudly.

“We’re leaving now,” I growl at the goddess. “We killed the damn monster, again, and we are done.”

Dusting myself off, I sheath my sword and grab my bags.

I am done with this fucking place. It has completely ruined everything.

“You won’t win this, Bethany. This is much bigger than you even think,” Hekate calls after us, but I ignore her as we walk out the door.

We already guessed this was much bigger than we ever thought before.

We’re going to win this thing anyway, or die trying.

Just outside Oklahoma City, my bag starts shaking on the floorboard.

“What the hell?” I grab my bag, wondering what the fuck that is.
