“I don’t think anything we’re looking for is going to be along the actual trails,” Jayden grumbles next to me.

“Do you guys have any idea how massive these mountains are?” Greyson asks, putting his hands on his hips.

Raven groans. “We’re going to need hiking gear and stuff. It could take days to find what we’re looking for.”

I turn in a circle and scan the area. A shop that I hadn’t seen before appears in front of me.

Was that there a second ago? I’m not sure, but it must have been, right?

The wood is worn with age, but it’s still adorable. It looks like a rustic cabin. The sign over the door says Pan’s Hiking Supply.

“There’s a store over there.” I point out the shop.

Jayden raises an eyebrow at me. “Are we sure we want to go in there?”

Why is he questioning it? It’s a perfectly normal little store, right?

Was I wrong before? Did it actually just appear out of nowhere?

No, I have seen some crazy shit, but stores appearing out of thin air is a stretch even for Greek gods.

Ares can appear out of nowhere though, so it is possible for a building to do the same.

Raven frowns. “Why wouldn’t we?”

Jayden rubs the back of his neck. “I don’t know. It looks like it may be Greek of some kind.”

Greyson steps next to Raven and tilts his head to the side. “It could be, but there’s nothing else around here.”

He shrugs, strolling over to the shop.

“I guess we’re going in.” Raven frowns as she looks up at the name of the shop again.

“I don’t see how something named after Peter Pan could be Greek.” I glance at Jayden, and he shakes his head.

“Not Peter Pan. Pan, the god of the wilds.” Jayden grabs my hand, tugging me after him.

The god of the wilds? I thought he disappeared a long time ago. Why would there be a hiking store at the base of the mountains named after him?

“Well, fuck,” I groan.

It’s too late to change our minds though. Greyson and Raven are already inside.

Jayden opens the door for me, and I wander inside. It definitely looks like the god of the wilds is responsible for this place.

There are trees growing up through the floors, along with thick green foliage. The shelves are barren, but when I glance up into the branches of the trees, there are packs and other gear hanging from vines.

“Well, this definitely looks like it belongs in the wild,” Jayden says.

“Just keep your eyes open,” I mumble, scanning the shop.

“What the fuck are you?” Raven shouts from farther into the store.

I share a look with Jayden before jogging to the sound.

I stop short when we get to Raven. She has a sword in each hand in a battle stance, pointing them at a man.

Well, I’m not sure exactly what he is.
