“Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind. I do like to bake but it’s not my favorite. Maybe I’ll talk to her tomorrow about it.” Beckett smiles, it’s small but genuine, and I feel happy for him, despite the obstacles that keep getting in his way.

The car ride to Chappy’s was filled with Piper telling Callum he’s twenty-seven, not eighty-seven, and to push on the gas.
They bicker like an old married couple and it’s incredibly entertaining. We’ve all started placing bets on how long it’ll take him to gather up enough courage to finally ask her out on a date.
Considering that she is absolutely oblivious to Callum’s true feelings for her, I told the others my bet is: it won’t be until Piper’s awful dates finally stop and she finds someone who’s not a loser. I feel like that’s the only way he’d do it. He won’t risk showing his heart until he feels like he has to.
We get to the bar and before we’re even completely parked, Piper and Colette jump out to go grab a table. They both takeSINGO!very seriously. It’s bingo, but instead of calling out numbers, the emcee plays a song, and the audience is supposed to know the title and hope it’s on their board.
Mia and I walk in with Callum and Cori close behind. Piper and Lettie have already managed to get the boards for everyone, a beer for Callum, and a pitcher of margaritas for us.
Walking up to the table, I hear Piper ask Colette, “Care to explain why anytime Spencer’s brother has been mentioned, no one said anything about how hot he is?”
Callum rolls his eyes. “He’s not even that hot.”
Mia and I look at one another before laughing. Cori raises one eyebrow, looking pointedly at him. “Dude, I’m a lesbian andIthink he’s hot. He looks so much like that guy who played Clark Kent on TV—”
Mia cuts in excitedly,"Exactly!"
“—and I know for a fact that that’s exactly your type in guys. At least his build. He seems too shy, and that just wouldn’t do it for you, huh?” Cori taunts. Causing Callum to scoff, quickly finishing off his beer.
“He is the perfect height to wear my favorite four-inch high heels and still feel like a dainty princess.” Mia pretends to sigh dreamily.
We all laugh before Piper adds, “By the looks of him, you’d scare him off before anything could happen. He mightlooklike Superman, but he gives off early seasons Spencer Reid vibes.”
Mia actually smirks. “Honestly, that could be fun for me. But he’s got a girlfriend, and you know I’m not one to wreck homes.” We all cheers to that.
By the end of the night, Colette won both rounds. And for someone so nurturing and soft-hearted, she really does not play when it comes to competitions. The only thing we could do, minus Callum, was drink multiple pitchers of margaritas to deal with all the shit talking she laid on us.
Honestly, he’s a saint for putting up with five drunk women and getting us all home safely.

The next morning, Mia and I wake up dreading the idea of yoga, only to get a text from Piper in the group chat saying she needs more time to sleep otherwise she’ll be a “real peach” at Theo’s.
After I’m done making my caramel brownies and showering, I start looking for something to wear. I turn my wardrobe upsidedown and finally settle on a comfortably cute vibe, wearing a deep blue spaghetti strap top, my favorite cream-colored chunky cardigan, black jeans, and a pair of chucks.
Mia comes in, telling me I should ditch the bra that was showing to mess with Spencer. In all fairness, I really want to see him blush, which is why I take her advice. My hair is all over the place, refusing to once again be tamed, especially around my face. So, I secure the top section back into a messy top knot and spray the little flyaways down.
Swiping on a bit of mascara and lip stain, I give myself a once over noting that you can most definitely see my nipple rings and walk out of my room before I chicken out and throw my bra back on.
As we head out the door, I shoot a text to Spencer.
We’re about to head over. Need anything?
Spencer
Nope. Just you.
Mia looks over to see the message and smiles. “Man, what a cheese ball.”
“He really is. It’s refreshing.”
She bumps my hip with hers. “It’s also refreshing to see you look so happy. And even if this isn’t real, he genuinely makes you happy.”
