“I don’t know how I got so lucky to be with you, Emersyn, but somehow a wrong match was the perfect one. Who would’ve thought?”
“Not me. I showed up here the opposite of everything you wanted, but it seems like I was just what you needed, hmm?”
“Good point.” Axel tugged at his beard. “And now, I want to make you my wife.”
A zing of shock ran through me. “Wife?”
“Yes, baby.” Axel reached over to the nightstand and pulled out a small ring box from his drawer.
My heart skipped a beat.
Don’t tell me…this is crazy. No way.
Axel got to his knees on the bed and kneeled down on one. We were both still naked, but it didn’t matter. Love didn’t care or worry about any of the small stuff. Why should we?
“Emersyn, please make me the happiest guy on earth and do me the honors of becoming my wife?” Axel said.
I screamed in joy. I yelped with happiness. “Yes! Yes! A million times yes!”
Axel took the ring from the box and slid it on my finger.
“I didn’t know I wanted a family until I found you. Thank you for loving me and giving me everything I had no clue I wanted.”
Tears streamed down my face as I kissed him over and over. “You make me so happy, Axel. I love you always and forever.”
