The only one who hasn’t bonded with her is Malcolm, and that’s because it just didn’t happen. She was very busy, so she didn’t ask for his bite. I think that Mal crafted it that way, making sure he wasn’t where her teeth could sink into him.

He wants her to choose him outside of her heat. I think Felix and Remy would have preferred that too, but the instinct to give their omega whatever she wanted overrode all of that. They both look very content, which leads me to believe that it happened the way it needed to.

Mal is old school like I am. Hollis pushed me until I broke, but she was still of sound mind. I think he’ll do it while he’s bathing our omega, washing her hair, and taking care of her. It’s how I would do it if I were him.

Humming to a song by Angelic Demons, I pull out fruit, cheese, and crackers to place on a platter. I’m trying to keep it light until I remember who I’m dealing with. I add some lemon squares that Lars sent home with a shrug, because however I can get food into her works for me.

I’m just finishing when I hear a knock on the door. Frowning, I shake my head. I don’t have my phone, but that could only be one person since the gate is closed. Fuck.

Leaving the food, I rush butt ass naked to the living room to find pants. There’s still clothes all over the floor, and I grab the first thing I see. As I’m pulling on the joggers, I find that they’re alittle snug since they’re Felix’s. Oh well, as long as they cover my cock and ass, I don’t care.

Hurrying to the front door, I open it to make sure Nova is alright. We haven’t left the house in days, it would be par for the course if something went wrong or she needed help with her van.

Fuck, I’m so glad that Mal gave her the gate clicker so she can get in and out by herself.

“Hey,” I greet her, my heart thundering. “Are you okay?”

“Hi,” Nova says, turning back to face me. Damn, I took so long that she was getting ready to leave. “I noticed none of the cars have moved in a few days. I just felt like I should check on you. Make sure no one has died from the plague.”

I grin as I shake my head and her eyes widen as she really looks at me.

“I’m sorry, you kind of caught us all at an odd time. Hollis has been staying with us while she healed from her hospital stay,” I explain. “And then, um, she went into heat.”

She takes a breath and freezes, getting a really odd look in her eyes.

“Hollis?” she asks.

“Yes, our omega. We’ve been seeing her for the past month, and things happened quickly. Do you know her?” I ask.

Hollis had mentioned that she knew of her, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she did.

“I don’t,” she says, shaking her head. She looks as if she saw a ghost, and I’m worried she may pass out on me.

“Are you okay?” I ask, concerned.

“Yes. Ah, I think so. I’m really glad she’s better,” Nova says, taking a step back from me. “I’m also really happy for you guys. Hollis is a really lucky girl.”

“Thanks…”

She turns as she nods, and I can see that she’s trying to work through something. I’m going to need to figure out what the fuckthat was about soon, but first, I have a hungry omega upstairs to tempt with food.

Closing the door and locking it, I force myself to put Nova from my mind until I can ask her what put that look on her face. One problem at a time.

MALCOLM

Hollis definitely complained about being pulled out of bed, but now she’s curled between my thighs in the tub, her head laying on my chest.

“Such a stubborn omega,” I whisper against her skin.

Gathering her hair, I grab a cup and begin pouring water over it so I can wash it.

“I’m grumpy and I was comfortable before,” she mumbles. “This is really nice too, though.”

“You’re covered in sweat and cum,” I chuckle. “The boys are changing your sheets. Oh, no. Why are you pouting, baby?”

“It’ll change my scents,” she says.

“The guys will bring you new clothes that have their scent on it,” I reply. “The blankets are gross, Hollis.”
