Another envelope came the next day. I caught the courier as I was heading out, and I immediately backtracked into my room, clutching the white envelope.
This time, it was a paper placemat from the Fil-Mex restaurant. I didn’t even realize he’d taken one.

I’m writing this while you’re sleeping next to me, looking so beautiful that it hurts. I can’t believe I have to watch you walk away again. I almost want to wake you up so I can get more of you while you’re here.
How is it possible that we’ve only had one date? You ruined me for other first dates…so you’ll just have to continue doing me.

I laughed even as arousal stirred in my core. Ironic how he’d mentioned the sounds I made when he was the vocal one. The things he said…my inner muscles clenched at the memory.
I wanted to call him, but again, he’d be in class. So I texted him instead.

Despite the many things I’d explored, I’d never come close to trying phone sex. But he’d gotten me worked up, so I figured I might as well pay him back.
It didn’t take me long to get off to memories of him. I sent him a voice memo with a note to open it in private.
Thirty minutes later, he called.
“You almost made me come in my pants,” he muttered, his voice thick.
I grinned. “Guess I’ll try harder next time.”
“Fuck. I need to get to my next class. We’ll continue this later.”
A few seconds after we hung up, my phone pinged.

How could I argue with that?
“You are so screwed,” Nikki said after I told her about Alonzo’s latest note.
I sighed. “I want to be screwed.”
She rolled her eyes. “Don’t think I don’t see what you’re doing.”
“What am I doing?”
“Relegating this to just sex,” Nikki said pointedly. “I think we’ve established that the guy is gone over you and you are finally in love for the first time in your life.”
