Think of 17 more things to put on this list…

As always, before she headed home, Tes had bolstered Noa’s confidence with her ‘there’s no time like the present’ speech and, now, Noa scrolled through airline websites, wanting to take action before that confidence waned.

Now that the list was done, Noa decided that, whilst on this very out of character spontaneous streak of hers that she had never before experienced in her life, she was going to take the first step toward number two on her list.

The two prosecco bottles and empty snack wrappers littering the coffee table in front of her should have been a warning not to make big life decisions. But she ignored them, wanting to break free of the restraints her tendency to overanalyse put on her, and enjoying the temporary reprieve the alcohol in her veins was giving her.

When her dad had come down to the living room earlier, he’d found her and Tes huddled on the sofa in the same spot she remained now.

‘What are you two scheming about over there?’ he’d asked.

‘Isaac Drake, you wound me with your lack of faith. How do you know we are not just sitting here online shopping like all the innocent girls do.’

Her dad had given Tes a pointed look that said please.

‘You, Tes Anderson, since we are apparently using full names today, have mischief in your bones and could talk a saintinto joining the circus, so excuse me for checking that you aren’t corrupting my daughter.’

‘Waaaaaay too late for that I’m afraid,’ Tes teased.
