She smirked.“We will be though. Why are you so serious?” She asked.
“Because,I’m trying to conduct business and why you keep coming up here alone? Where’s your man? Don’t you know that anytime a woman goes to purchase a vehicle she should have a man with her to check it out? I could be trying to sell you some shit that’s perfect on the outside and fucked up under the hood.” I said. I’d never let Kisha go purchase shit without me since I knew the games people played.
She stoppedfor a second looking spaced out. “My man is too busy for me, and both my brothers are dead.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”I replied. I really was.
She waved me off.“You don’t have to be sorry, it’s life.”
I lookedin her eyes again. “But you’re not okay.”
She shook her head.“I’ll never truly be okay, but I’m fine, trust me. I have a step-sister out here somewhere, but I hate her ass.”
“Why is that?”I asked.
“It’sa long story that I’ll probably never talk about again.”
I left it alone.“So, you ready to get a car today?”
She dugin her purse and pulled out stacks of money. “My man gave me all of this and told me to get a car so that’s what I’m doing. I can’t go back without a car today or he’s gonna be pissed and I would hate to see him pissed. He’s mean as hell when he gets mad.”
“Let me guess,he puts his hands on you right?” I asked out of curiosity, but I knew the answer.
“Maybe.”She mumbled.
I didn’t get it;like that shit was a trend for these nigga’s to be out here putting they hands on a fucking girl. That was some real hoe ass shit to me. I left the issue alone and made it my business to help her purchase a car that would be good for her. It was the small Beamer that she looked at the first day she came.
“Thanks so much Meek.”She smiled before wrapping both of her arms around me. “Here, we have to take a picture together standing next to the car and I can post it on my pages to send some people over.” She suggested.
Now under anyother circumstances I would’ve never taken that picture, but because it was all business and marketing, I had Demond to snap the picture for me. We sent Brittany on herway and the minute she was gone, Demond was looking at me sideways.
“Bruh,I’m telling you, that girl is gon’ be a problem, how much you wanna bet she’s coming back? Watch, it’s gonna be a problem with the car or something; anything to get back up here.”
We both hada good laugh after that. “Nah, bruh, I’ll leave that other shit to you, in the meantime, I’m about to use a little of this profit to buy my baby something real nice. Shit she’s been working hard, and she deserves it.”
“What about yaother lil tender? Ya jail bird?” He asked referring to Reesie.
“I’m not goingup in that nasty ass jail until the doctor clears me. It’s germs all over the place but that place right there is on a whole different level.” I replied. I still wasn’t a hundred percent.
“How’s yourchest been feeling lately?” He asked.
“I’m almost there, dude, it gets better every day. The only problem that I’m having is the leftover fragments fucking with me giving slight chest aches sometime. Mostly at night when I lay down, if the shit doesn’t stop, they going back in.”
“Damn.”He replied. “Just make sure you doing what you supposed to be doing.”
“I got it.”I told him. “I’m about to be out for the day, it’s getting late. What you about to do? I asked him.
“I’mma stick around for a while.I’m waiting on a different kind of customer.” He said taking a seat at the desk.
“Is ‘Dude’still in the back?” Dude was the big security nigga Demond hired to watch out for the place.
“Yeah,he’s still here, that nigga don’t leave until everything is shut down.” He assured me.
“As long asyou ain’t up here by yourself.”
“I’m cool.”He said.
With that Iwent on ahead and bounced. I needed to catch the mall before they closed. I wanted to get Kisha a nice Pandora bracelet and then, I was ready to get home and lay up because tomorrow was another long day.
