Searching all 5 rooms of his luxurious suite, they all headed to the door to search elsewhere.
“Nothing here, Bastian,” Bane informed him over the comm.
“Yes, we see that as we get closer,” Bastian came back.“There are only your heat signatures aboard.Get off that ship right now!”
“You, Team Two in the water,” Orrin’s voice came over.“Abort mission.I repeat, Sheba and Ari.Abort, abort!”
Faith moved out to the hall then she halted when she saw two large men.
“Well, who do we have here?”a sly sounding voice came over speakers mounted above them.“Oh, it’s the little super soldier.You thought you’d surprise me?Well today, you are all gonna learn a lesson.No one fucks with me, do you hear?Get ready to die!”
Faith stared at the two large men who were coming closer toward her.They were huge, like six foot five and just as wide.She paused to listen.She couldn’t hear them breathing and they barely had heartbeats.Snapping her head up, she shouted, “Super soldiers!”
“The fuck?”Cassian exclaimed.
“We’re on our way!”Sheba yelled over the comm.
The next few minutes was pandemonium as bodies flew and blood splattered.Metal pinged off the walls and bullet casings filled the floor.Yet, the soldiers kept coming up the hallway to attack the group.
Bane and Cane aimed for their hearts as Cassian swung for their heads.They soon found that these men were more advanced than the ones they’d faced before and they had only managed to kill a few as others simply stood back up again.They were faster and avoided the sword.Bullets seemed to bounce off of them as if they wore Kevlar from head to toe.
“Run!”Faith yelled as she sped in front of her group.
“No, Faith!”Cassian shouted.“We can’t leave you.”
“Run now!”she shouted as she barreled up against the large men, knocking them down.Kneeling, she pushed her hands out and set one on fire.Moving to the next one, she did the same thing with him.
The men burned but they still walked around while attempting to fight.She picked one up and carried him down the hall as she shouted, “Get to the deck!”Setting that one on fire, she tossed him away.Speeding up at supersonic speed, she picked up Bane.“Grab Cane!”she told him.
He did so.
“Grab me, Cassian!”she told him.
He did so.
Shouting over the comm, she said, “Everyone get off the ship!”Then she literally kept running and sailed over the side, taking the men with her down into the water.
When they all came up breaching the water’s surface, a speedboat came barreling up and spun around to stop.Orrin leaned over and said.“Get in!”
They all scrambled up, wet as could be while sputtering water.Before they could even get situated, they landed in the seats with a jolt as the boat took off.
“The Fuck, Orrin!”Bane shouted.
“Sorry brother, but we have company,” Orrin said as he sailed across the channel.“Damn, this thing is fast!”He laughed.
“Weapons are under the seats, boys,” Bastian came over the comm.“Lock and load!”
That was when they heard the shots passing across the boats.
Bane and Cane dug beneath the seats and brought out machine guns.
Two sleek red boats were coming up close as Bane and Cane let off defensive fire.Cassain already had his in a case on his back so he was firing a machine gun as well.
The boat was closing in and Bastian came over the comm, “They’ve got a launcher!”
Faith looked back and saw one man loading the rocket launcher on their boat.“Everyone duck!”she yelled.
Bane, Cane and Cassian were busy laying fire at that boat and another that was coming up alongside.
