“They kidnapped us because they could smell arousal on Billie. Tyr thought he could take her as his mate. He didn’t know she was getting railed on the daily by Steve,” Joey responded coolly.
I almost dropped Billie in outrage. “What?” I spluttered.
“He couldsmellBillie, so he assumed she was interested in him. Your friend has a pretty big ego.” As Tyr continued to shift, Joey casually pressed a booted foot down on his chest to prevent him from moving.
I let go of Billie, letting her quietly slip down my body as I clenched and unclenched my fists. It didn’t matter that Billie was okay. Tyr had tried to claim ownership of her, and she wasmine. A rage as I had never felt before boiled up in me. I would strangle him with my bare hands. As I started to head toward Tyr, Billie stopped me, pressing her palm against my chest. I could have easily brushed her aside, but I glanced down to see she was serious.
“Listen. I know you’re pissed that Tyr just assumed I would be interested in him and not you. And that he kidnapped me. But you don’t need to beat him up for me. I am not interested in Tyr at all. He’s paid the price by being taken out by one swift kick of an embarrassingly small female.” She waved her hand at Joey, still putting all her weight on Tyr’s chest.
“But he took you without evenaskingyou,” I ground out.
“Yeah, and that was really fucking stupid. Now, not only does he not have me, but he won’t have anyone. That seems like enough, right?” She was attempting to placate me.
I grumbled noncommittally.
“I don’t need you getting your hands dirty for an orc that a barely five-foot-tall human has already detained. Why don’t we let Reykr and Joey handle them, and you and I can go home?” She cocked a brow at me.
“I’m listening,” I said.
“This will be the last night we have before the entire tribe knows about us, considering the abduction, rescue, etc. So why don’t we spend it with just the two of us?” She raised her brow further.
I didn’t need further explanation. I scooped her up, wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck, and started walking back to the village.
“Oh sure, leave us to deal with these two. We don’t mind at all!” Reykr called sarcastically.
Billie just waved over my shoulder before nuzzling into me. She began kissing down my neck as I carried her.
“That was really hot, you know,” she murmured as she kissed across my collarbone.
“What was really hot?” I huffed, somewhere between annoyed at Tyr and turned on by her kisses.
“You coming to my rescue,” she said. “Wanting to fight Tyr. I’ve never had someone who wanted to fight for me.”
I squeezed her ass and buried my head in her hair, taking in her smell. “I would have happily fought Tyr for you. He may be bigger than I am, but I am better trained. And he is kind of dumb.”
“Kind of?! He kidnapped two women and didn’t even bother to tie them up. Did he think we’d wake up and be happy tobe in a cave with our kidnappers?” She locked eyes with me incredulously.
I laughed. “Probably. Like I said, he’s not very bright.”
“Well, I’m glad you found me before we had to march them back to the village and decide what to do with them,” she said, kissing me as we headed back to the village.
I felt myself growing hard with each one of her kisses, “Billie, we are still a ways away from the village. Can you pause the kisses until we get to your room? It’s hard enough to keep my cock under control while carrying you like this.”
“Sorry,” she responded in a mock, serious tone, “I shall reserve my acts of appreciation until we are in my room.”
“Thank you.” With that, she nuzzled into my chest as we returned.
Billie sighed happily in my arms as I carried her back to her room. It had been quite an interesting night and would end far better than I anticipated. Billie traced a finger along the neck of my tunic and inhaled the scent of my neck.
