“Because it has to be a secret for now, and I have to ask Trig for permission before I can make it for myself.” The little fib wouldn’t hurt, and it was to keep Riju from guessing it was for him. “What if he says no?”

“Okay. Are you sure you’re not getting cold? I can’t see why you’d buy two blankets.”

“I’m not cold. I promise.”

Riju went to bathe when they got in. Of course, Kit immediately stripped off his clothes and kneeled by the door. Trig seemed pleased that he remembered, and he asked what the bundle was.

Kit told him. “Could I use my time at night before bed to make it, Master? Instead of reading Elira’s Book?”

Trig raised an eyebrow. “I don’t see the point in this. Aren’t those curtain weights?”

“Yes, and they’ll work for this, Master. Trust me. You’ll see when I’m done. I promise. It’s for Riju, Master, and I think he’ll like it, but you can’t say anything.”

Trig pursed his lips. “Fine. It can’t interfere with your main duties.”

Kit worked at it every night once he was alone in his room. He was okay with sewing, but it was hard to manipulate it in some spots, especially in the center because so much fabric pooled over his arm and in his lap. Still, he did his best to work fast and efficiently. The stitches didn’t need to be fancy.

They took a second day in the middle of the week and their third day on the last day of the fair. Kit behaved properly all week and enjoyed his time with Riju. When he wanted a break from the noise, they went to the same spot to sit so they could relax.

Two days after that, Kit’s project was finished, and he figured he’d surprise Riju with it before bed one night. Perhaps he’d like to sleep with it.

He wasn’t allowed in Riju’s bedroom since it was his space, and Kit respected that. Trig was only allowed in for short periods, and he didn’t sleep in there. Riju also had a spot in the basement where they made sex toys. It was blankets and pillows in the corner where he could curl up and read. With his new present, he could use it anywhere.

Trig agreed that he could present it to Riju before bed that night, and he did so in the sitting room while on his knees.

Riju appeared confused at the two blankets sewn together, and even more puzzled by the weight. “I thought you were making something for yourself.”

“Uh…I might have fibbed, Master. I didn’t want you guessing anything.”

“Why are there squares in it?” Riju poked one through the cloth.

“Master, it’s for weight, and I sewed them between two throw blankets. I sewed around them all so they won’t slide around and bunch up, Master.”

Riju looked at Trig who shrugged.

“Put it over you, Master,” said Kit. “Please.”

Riju leaned back on the couch, folded his legs under him, and covered himself with the blanket.

“Master, you said you liked the weight of me when I lay on you, and you felt so relaxed. I know the aftercare is for me, but I like how it helps you too, Master. I want you to have the feeling whenever. Erm, I wouldn’t lieonthe blanket because it might not feel good. It’s only meant to go over you, Master.”

Kit started to wonder if maybe his idea was stupid because it wasn’t the same as a living body. But Riju’s eyes widened as heseemed to shrink under the blanket, and a little smile bloomed on his face.

“I like it. Thanks, Kit. Come under it with me.”

Kit hadn’t been allowed to sit on the furniture so far. Since he had permission, he sat next to Riju and covered them both the best he could with the blanket. Riju pressed himself against his side.

“So…do you like it?” asked Trig.

Riju eagerly nodded, and warmth grew in Kit’s chest. “It feels nice. I like the weight.”

“Well, good job, Kit,” said Trig. “I never would have thought of making a blanket heavy.”

“Thank you, Master.”

“I don’t want to move,” said Riju. “Get me a book, Trig.”

“Yes, bossy.”
