“I do. I just want you back my nigga. You didn’t deserve that shit I did. I stripped you of your entire life, Ace.”
“Shit, according to the man above my life was written, I was coming whether you did it or not. Dio, I forgive you.”
“Then I can forgive myself. Ace, I don’t know what that lady was trying to do, but stay with a nigga until I go to sleep. Please.”
“I got you my nigga, always have.”
“Bet.”
As I strolled down the hall to get back to Bianca’s room, I stepped into the doorway to see someone sitting next to my daughter who didn’t belong. An uneasy feeling came over me. “Why are you in here?” I asked.
He didn’t move, yet he raised only his eyes to me. “It took me a minute. Hell, it took me a few days since meeting you to realize you are the other piece to my puzzle, Sweetheart.” He winked.
It was the wink that hit me. It was something about the timing of it and his words that led to a lump forming in my throat. I took a step into the room, “Aht, aht. Don’t take another fucking step,” he said as he held up a cord.
It was the cord that determined Bianca's fate of life or death. I reached out my hand, “Please!” I shouted.
His stare told me he didn’t care. “See, the person who should be in here would have pulled this muhfucka because right nowhe’s in a mind state that he doesn’t give a fuck. So, I took the initiative to talk to you,” his raspy voice deepened.
“I-I don’t know what you want to talk to me about. We have nothing to say to each other.”
He slowly stood. His stature was tall, his skin was dark as midnight, and his eyes were Devilish. It was almost as if I were staring into an empty soul, much like Sergio’s.
Then he grinned. “Well, considering you were so concerned about who I was here to see. You were so concerned that you took it upon yourself to enter a fucking room I told you not to. You, sweetheart, are the epitome of disgusting. Now, we can either do this the easy way or the Zoo way. Which do you choose?”
“I choose neither.Get out!”I shouted, hoping someone would hear me.
“No!”he barked so loud it made me jump. “No! Because of you my little nigga almost died. What the fuck did you do to him. Huh? I don’t know if it was you who pulled the trigger or one of your fucked up people, but I won’t stop until I find out. If I find out it was you, well, I guess bitches got to die too.”
Eyes on the cord. Eyes on him.“You have no idea who you’re threatening. I will have your black ass gutted.”
That was the luxury of being a part of the cartel and having someone like Sergio. Key words set him off and if he thought he was going to scare me into telling him I shot that little fucker then he had the wrong person.
He laughed. “I’m not scared of the cartel. I am the fucking cartel. I am the fucking Devil. I snatch souls. So, if you think you’re telling me you’re going to kill me is going to scare me off, try. Another. Nigga,” he gritted as he dropped the cord then kicked something.
My eyes landed on the floor and widened as they landed back on him. He stepped from around the bed and stood before me.“I’m not you. I don’t kill kids, but I will fuck an old nigga up,” he grumbled as he leaned forward. “Call your people because it’s the Zoo way!” he finished and walked past me.
I rushed toward the bed to see one of Sergio’s men lying there. I didn’t see any blood, but from the looks of it he had snapped his neck. I hurried to grab my phone and called Sergio.
ZEUS
The guys were right there as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom. From the looks on all of their faces they didn’t even have to say a fucking word. “Who is it?” I asked.
Chevy flicked his nose. “That girl Bianca, she laid up just like Dio on the other side,” Chevy pointed. “Her momma knows something. They have men throughout the hall. What are you trying to do?”
So, the bitch been here the entire time. I didn’t bother to say anything. I pulled my gun from behind my back and pushed past the guys.
“This what the fuck I’m talking about!” Foe said as he cocked his gun.
I could hear Diamond laughing. “This nigga is about to go Ape shit on they ass.”
I didn’t even know what the muhfuckas looked like, but I didn’t give a fuck. I hit the corner, and my eyes bounced on them quickly:twelve o’clock, three o’clock, six o’clock, lobby, vending machine, and the nurses’ station.
I casually walked behind the guy at the vending machine. He wore a black suit with a pair of black shades. I knew we didn’t handle niggas out in the open, but if me getting revenge for Dio was my only way for peace so be it. They could lock me up, but it wouldn’t be until after I killed as many of these muhfuckas as I could.
I wrapped my forearm around his neck dragging his ass back. “Cheap ass suit,” I gritted as I tightened my grip around his neck, then snapped it, dropping his ass to the ground.
“Goddamn!”Foe said in shock.
