I’m glad I found that I can. I don’t know what we would do without Aurora in our life.
“Was that everything you hoped?” she whispers against my skin.
“Even better. Liam is going to love it.”
I feel her lips kiss my skin.
“Give me a minute, then we can go for round two in the shower. Being the one fucking is hard. My thighs burn,” she tells me.
“Oh, baby. You have no idea. Don’t worry. Round two, I want your ass.”
She squeaks as I smack her ass, but she doesn’t tell me no.
Yeah. This girl is perfect.

Sitting on the couch, I blow on my Earl Grey tea as I read the paper. The guys like to tease me about reading the news this way when I could read it on my phone, but I can’t make the switchover, no matter how many times I try. Honestly, I try to avoid reading on a screen when I can, as I look at one enough as it is. It’s bad enough I have to talk into a screen at least once a day to remind people not to be arseholes to others.
Soft padding down the hall catches my attention and I know it’s her without looking. The guys sound like a herd of elephants when walking around.
“Good morning, Miss Blake.”
“Morning,” Aurora says as she walks past me, heading into the kitchen.
Out of the corner of my eye, I watch her fill a cup with coffee. Coffee that I brewed just for her, knowing that she loves the stuff.
“Thank you for this.” She raises her mug as she walks toward me.
“You’re most welcome,” I say as I set down the paper, and she takes a seat next to me.
“How did you sleep last night?”
Aurora rolls her lips between her teeth, fighting back a smile. “I slept well, thanks. Too bad I can’t stay longer though.”
“We still have the party tomorrow. Don’t start thinking about the end while we are living the middle.” I reach out, squeezing her hand.
“You’re right. I hate having to leave, but I should focus on spending all my time with you guys while I’m here.” She smiles at me.
“Good. Now have you thought about breakfast?”
She shakes her head. “I can make breakfast for us.”
I hum and shake my head. “That’s a shame.”
“What is?”
“I had planned on taking you out for breakfast, but if you insist on making everyone breakfast, then I won’t stop you,” I say, taking a sip of my tea, playing it cool.
“Breakfast, huh? What did you have in mind?”
“Well, I know how much you love food and there’s this place I thought you would love. How do you feel about chicken and waffles?”
“I think they’re delicious.”
“This place does a version of that, but instead of chicken, they serve it with duck. I must admit it’s quite delicious, but I prefer their eggs benedict.” I pause. “Would you like to go with me?”
Aurora tilts her head and studies me. “I would.”
