Turning, I pout my lips out, asking for a kiss.

“Kiss me, Dom,” I demand in the dark.

He laughs, feeling for my face before pressing his lips to mine.

When he goes to move away, I shake my head, pressing harder.

He lets me for a few moments, moving his lips against mine. When I slip my tongue into his mouth, he tries to stop me, but I growl.

He tears away from me, his breathing labored. “We can’t. Not while you are like this. Tomorrow, I will do whatever you want. Eat your pussy until I can’t breathe. Fuck you until you see stars. Anything in the entire world. Tomorrow though. When you are sober and not under the influence of drugs.”

I groan. “Why do you have to be so logical? It’s hot as hell and only makes me want to tear off your clothes even more because you are being so respectful and caring. Go back to being the arrogant asshole. I didn’t want to fuck him as much.”

“But you wanted to fuck him?” His teasing tone only makes me want to smack him.

“Hush. You know you were fuckable even when you were a complete dickwad. Don’t make me say it.”

“Alright. I won’t.” After a moment of silence, he whispers. “Katie?”

“Hmm,” I mumble, feeling sleep attempting to claim me again.

I want to hear what he has to say though. So I try my best to stay awake.

When his whispered words finally come, I’m not sure if he actually said them or if I made them up. I’ve been wanting to hear them for a couple days now, so maybe it’s all in my head.

Still, I cling to those words.

“I always wanted you, and I always will.”

DAY TEN: GRAND TURK, TURKS AND CAICOS

“You wantto go chill on a beach with flamingos?” Dominic asks, sounding caught off guard.

After the incident yesterday and not fully remembering everything from last night, I needed something not too crazy. I swear I feel like if it can go wrong, it has on this trip.

I keep getting clips of things that happened last night in my head, but it’s hard to separate reality from dream. Like obviously Dominic telling me he loved me while he was on a pink elephant was a dream, but was it a dream when he admitted I meant more to him than I realized?

I’m too much of a coward to ask.

“Is that okay?” I frown.

“I mean, yeah. I just didn’t expect that to be a thing,” he says as we step off the cruise ship. “How far is it?”

“It looks like it’s about five minutes down the beach.”

“That’s not bad. Do you want to walk or catch a ride?”

“We can walk,” I say as I slip my hand into his.

We follow the directions on my phone, and soon enough, we arrive at our destination. I knew we were coming to a beach with flamingos, but I didn’t expect so many.

“Holy shit,” Dominic mumbles as we stare at the dozen or so birds.

“They are so pretty. Did you know they get their color from the food they eat?” I whisper.

“Actually, I didn’t know that. Where do you want to sit?” Dominic asks as he looks around. “It looks like that guy is renting out chairs,” he says, pointing farther down the beach at a shack.
