We've come to understand that the Fae are intricate beings, seemingly sprung from divinity itself. Despite endless hours and years of scholarly research, the essence of the Fae remains enigmatic--and perhaps that's how it should be. After all, possessing too much knowledge about the Fae can be a perilous endeavor.

Interestingly, the Fae have played a major role in shaping various aspects of otherworldly realms. They are, in a way, architects of existence--even though they were themselves crafted by higher powers. Through mating, evolutionary processes, and influence over different regions and dimensions, the Fae have had a hand in the creation of diverse species. Yet one can't help but ponder the reach of Fae lineage. When you gaze upon a person or creature, could you be encountering a skillful masquerade? Might that legendary creature, which you believe you understand so well, actually carry the blood of the Fae within its veins?

Let us explore how history has depicted the Fae and also delve into the concealed aspects that history often overlooks.

Common and Uncommon Types of Faeries/Creatures of Fae

Aiwel-Nature spirit and cultural hero from the folklore of the Dinka people of the Sudan. Born of the son of a river spirit and an elderly widow woman. Aiwel was responsible for helping people and their herds with his magical powers. His attitude, disposition and values were considered Dinka ideals. He embraced his humanity and spirituality and overcame great adversity and rose to become the leader of his mothers people. He founded the priesthood known as the Spear Masters and the symbol of his power was a spear. These Spear Masters were brutal and efficient in battle, yet they did not attack out of malice, only ever out of need. That is to say, anger didn't rule them. They had complete discipline and control over their emotions.

Arallu-Type of Djinn in Assryo-Babylonian demonology born from the bile of Enki and the stagnant water under the kur. They were described as the storm which breaks loose with a fury in the skies or the rising wing which casts darkness over the bright day and were depicted as having a human male body, the head and claws of a lion, large wings and small goat horns upon their head. (Although, this was hearsay) Arallu are extremely powerful and immortal beings and had the power to cause disease, corrupt the unity of a family, inspire criminal acts and kill livestock. Arallu hated mankind. They were adversaries of the gods, especially the moon god, Sin. The Arallu, were said to have been created all male and were not granted the ability to reproduce. Although, we find that particular fact may have been stated in order to decrease the fear of their power. It was likely they were like the rest of the Fae and suffered from fertility issues. Despite their power and overconfidence, the Arallu were still slaves to their own anger. Also important to note that, technically, the Arallu were part of the Unseelie Fae.

*A Fun Note*Zane's mother loved this legend so much that she named her son Caer. Swans are, by nature, incredibly fast and agile, intelligent, devoted to their mate and highly aggressive about defending their young. All the qualities that Zane's mother wanted her son to have as he grew up.
