“I hate weddings,” Emmett grumbles, pulling at his throat. “Seriously, does anyone else feel like they’re being choked in these tuxes?”

“Just you,” Spencer says, adjusting his cufflinks. “My wife thinks I look hot and that’s all I need.”

Blakely snorts. “Your wife thinks the sun shines out of your ass.”

“Jealous?”

She raises one brow. “Not at all. I like fighting with Emmett. Hate fucking is the best.”

Someone behind us gasps and I can’t stop my laugh.

Then Holden pipes in. “I can’t express my level of discomfort.”

I learned today that Jenna is his ex-wife. And his wife is a bridesmaid. Go figure that one.

I swear, all small towns have some weird shit.

Spencer shifts in his seat to face Holden who is in the row behind us. “I keep forgetting you were married to her.”

“Yeah, super easy to forget.” He shakes his head. “Anyway, I’m happy for Jenna, but I could’ve skipped this and been fine.”

“Well, other than the fact that you married the nicest human on the planet and Sophie befriended Jenna since she started working with her.”

“Don’t remind me.”

I turn to him. “I’m with you, it’s weird.”

“See, the new guy gets it.” Holden clasps my shoulder. “I knew I liked you.”

“I’m touched,” I say with sarcasm, which has the other guys smiling.

They are seriously just like my brothers. Full of sarcasm, humor, and a deep bond that they treasure. I imagine if I didn’t have my brothers, I would’ve wanted to find my family the way they did.

My phone buzzes in my chest pocket and I fish it out to see an email from Mateo Kopaskey.

Grady,

I know you’re traveling, but I wanted to inform you that I’ve come to a decision regarding the four-million-dollar investment. After a lot of consideration, and the proposal that we discussed regarding leasing of the plane and the payment restructure, I would like to move forward with the investment when you return. I’ll have the paperwork drawn up and then you can have your lawyers review it. Enjoy your time this weekend and I hope this brings you even more happiness.

Best,

Mateo Kopaskey

I read it four more times to make sure it says what I think it says. I can’t believe this. I got the money. I got the investment. I can buy a new plane and my company can finally get off the ground—literally.

I shift in my seat, looking to see if I can find Addison in the back. All I want to do is tell her the good news. I’m so fucking happy.

When I look around, I see Brielle standing toward the front, but no Addy.

The music keys up and then the bridal party starts. First, Brielle comes down, smiling, and then when her eyes find her husband, her entire face lights up.

Then comes some girl I don’t know, then Sophie.

And then it’s Addy.

It’s strange, my eyes don’t take in anything else. All I see is her and my chest fills with joy. Her gaze finds mine and there I see the look. The one that I saw each of her friends give their husbands. Where that one person they found makes them feel joy.

I wink at her, which causes her to look away while biting her lower lip. The music shifts to “The Wedding March” and we all stand to watch her enter.
