Jake winks at him. “You can count on me.”
“And then…” He turns to me.
“What do you need?” I ask, excitedly.
“I need my boyfriend.”
I bring my hand to my chest.
“I need you. If you want me. If you’ll have me.”
“If I want you?” Now I’m the one to launch myself at him.
“Do you want to be my boyfriend, Sean?”
“Of course I do.” I kiss him and Eric holds me close, keeps me warm.
“I’m starting to like surprises,” I say, when Mila and Jake have discreetly left us alone.
“You are?”
“And I’m starting to like you.”
“Does that mean I don’t piss you off anymore?”
“Exactly.”
“Good to know, Mr. Quinn.”
“What do you say we leave these two lovebirds alone in the living room and…” I lean close to his ear. “I want to make love to my boyfriend. Right now. I want to make him forget he ever made love with anyone before me.”
