Page 9 of Savage Revenge

His words seep into me like venom from a snake. Cold and deadly.

And I don’t even think. I move.

I pull back and let my fist fly, cracking Cash hard in the jaw. His head hardly moves or makes a sound as I turn to the guy behind me. He barely has time to register what’s happening before my knee slams between his legs. Groaning in pain, he reaches for his dick, and I take off. My heels might slow me, but I’m not going down without a fight. These assholes are going to regret the day they fucked with me.

Before I can make it three steps, a thick arm wraps around my waist, yanking me back against a hard body, and I don’t have to look back to know it’s Cash. His rich scent surrounds me. A mix of tobacco, coffee, and that fresh smell of water. I scream and kick at him, sending one of my shoes flying through the air as I battle with everything I have.

No matter what, it’s no match for his strength, and even though I’m clamoring for my life right now, it sends a tingling sensation to my core. What the fuck is that? Because it sure as hell feels a lot like my body betraying me during the worst time possible. I can’t remember a time when a guy has been able to manhandle me like this. I hate Cash Savage, but I think I hate him a tiny bit less for making me feel so dainty.

“You’re a naughty girl, Jordyn Elise,” he whispers huskily, scraping his scruffy jawline against my earlobe.

Goosebumps bloom all over as his short hairs prickle the sensitive area. It pisses me off that he’s causing this kind of reaction. I should hate how close he is, but instead, I let out a soft whimper, which he hears, and it makes him chuckle.

“Fuck you,” I seethe as I continue to try to fight against him.

His brothers watch us with amused expressions. I scowl at the three of them.

“It’s a bit soon for the fucking part, kitten,” Cash breathes. “But we’ll get there. For now, you’re going to be a good girl and take a nap.”

Before I can tell him there won’t ever be any fucking, I yelp as something sharp pierces my neck.

Whoa.

What just happened?

Why is the room spinning?

Slowly, everything starts to look fuzzy. Like icicles spreading until I see nothing but a mix of pale shades that fade. After a moment, everything turns black, and I can’t fight anymore.

CHAPTER 5

Cash

JORDYN KINGSTON IS THE ENEMY

“Dude, what the fuck did you do?” Xander asks.

Shit.

WhatdidI do?

It wasn’t supposed to happen like this.

Jordyn was supposed to be a man.

Because then we could take him to one of our warehouses, torture him for information, and take photos to send to Thomas Kingston of his son.

“She wouldn’t stop fighting me,” I bark, wrapping both arms around her limp body so she doesn’t hit the ground. “Fuck!”

Beckett laughs while Kian and Xander stare at me in disbelief.

“We don’t hurt women,” Kian growls. “Dad would kill you if he knew you harmed a woman.”

“I didn’t fucking hurt her. She’ll be fine. She’ll wake up in a few hours. Besides, what do you think will happen if we leave her here? She’ll run her little ass to her father and tell him we’re coming for him. Or the cops. We don’t need them on our asses. So fucking relax. I won’t harm her.”

At least, I don’t think I will. She has a smart mouth on her that needs to be taught a lesson. Her right hook isn’t bad either. I should punish her for daring to hit me.

I keep hold of Jordyn and rub my jaw, silently wincing. She’s a tough woman. And fuck me, she’s stunning.
