Warmth spreads over my chest as I run my thumb over the underside of the platinum engagement band. “I love him so very much. And someone will love you like that one day, too, Xander. Whoever that woman was who hurt you, she didn’t deserve you.”

He stares at me blankly. I don’t think he really believes me, but that’s okay. I know I’m right.

I hold out my hand, not moving from where I am, so he has to cross the room to me. “Truce.”

A smile plays at his lips as he swaggers over, and we shake on it. Something settles in my chest, and I let out a long exhale.

Xander grins and reaches out, wrapping his arm around my neck to pull me in for a hug. “Welcome to the family.”

My heart clenches. I miss Jacob. But I think I miss what we could have had. It felt like that day was a turning point for us, and because of Elliott, we both lost out on it. I’ll always be sad because of that, but I’m thankful that we said “I love you” to each other before he died. At least, he knew I loved him. And it heals something in me knowing he did, too.

But now it seems that I have three brothers. All of them are big, dangerous, overprotective, and completely unhinged, but I can’t wait for what the future brings.

Because I’m going to marry Cash Savage.

CHAPTER 33

Cash

TIL DEATH DO US PART… AND THEN EVEN AFTER

One month later…

“You’re breathtaking, kitten.”

She gazes up at me, her arms wrapped around my neck as we sway to Teddy Swims,All that really matters.“And you’re incredibly handsome, Daddy.”

My chest swells as I stare at her. My wife. My kitten. Myeverything. And all I can think about is: It doesn’t matter how long I get to spend with her, it will never be enough.

We got married one month ago in a shitty Las Vegas chapel—because why would we not?—and tonight we’re having a reception in our backyard, celebrating with the people closest to us. It’s small and intimate; it’s perfect for us. We both keep our circles small for good reason.

“You’re going to wear this dress tonight when I fuck that pretty mouth and smear your lipstick all over my cock,” I whisper as I move her slowly around the dance floor in front of our guests.

She lets out a soft gasp, her fingernails digging into my skin, making my dick jump.

I chuckle softly, pressing a kiss just below her ear. “My sweet, naughty girl. I love you so much.”

Closing my eyes, I soak in her warmth. Her softness. Everything. It’s not always going to be easy between us. We’ve had several fights over the past month, mostly because I’m “too possessive or protective.” That’s what she calls it. I call it being in love with her.

Still, I’m trying to ease up. It hasn’t been going well. Thankfully, she gives me a lot more grace than she should, and I make up for it by worshiping her and treating her like the queen she is. Even if she does still piss me off, and gets her ass spanked almost daily. And being the twisted people we are, we love every goddamn second of it.

“I love you, too.” She smiles up at me, her eyes shining with tears.

The song fades, and a new one starts. Not even five seconds pass before Beckett swaggers up to us, clearly a few whiskeys deep already.

“Can I have this dance?” he asks Jordyn with a wide grin.

My arms tighten around her as I scowl at my brother. “Get bent, asshole.”

Beckett snorts and winks at me, then offers his hand to Jordyn. “Come on, sis. It’s Taylor Swift. I need to dance with another Swiftie.”

Jordyn bursts out giggling, and something loosens inside me. She’s so beautiful when she lets herself relax like this. Soft. Walls down. Happy.Mine.

“Actually.” She waves at someone. “I think someone else would rather dance with you. Besides,Loveris a perfect song for you two.”

Complete with matching sequins and rhinestones, Mrs. Duffy shines as she makes her way to Beckett, her sparkly canegleaming under the lights. Beckett narrows his gaze at Jordyn. “You didn’t,” he mutters.

Like the good guy he is, he offers his hand to the old woman and starts some sort of dance with her that she’s able to keep up with.
