When he breaks the kiss, I turn my face, and he continues kissing a path down my jaw. My throat. The peak of my shoulder.

And from the corner of my eye, I catch someone staring.

A man standing nearby has his eyes locked on me. He whispers something to the woman in his arms, and she passes a glance at us.

Her cheeks flush and our eyes connect.

“We’re caught.” Crew chuckles in my ear, noticing them like I do. “And my dirty fucking girl loves it. You’re so tight with them watching me fuck you like a little slut in public. Watching me claim you. They wish they could have this sweet pussy, but it’s mine. My virgin cunt. My virgin lips…” He grabs my ass. “I’ll take that too soon enough.”

My eyes flutter, and my attention returns to Crew, even if I still feel stares on me. I tip my forehead to his, and my breaths begin to stutter.

“I’m the only man to fuck you.” Crew kisses my lips. “The only man who is ever going to.”

I’m not sure why he’s making promises he won’t keep, but I try to ignore it. In this moment, the lie is enough to make my entire body tense.

He holds me close and circles my hips over him, and when his lips once more find mine, I detonate.

I’m shrapnel.

Fragments.

Floating in space where the pot sent my mind.

And as my pussy squeezes him, he lifts his hips to shove himself in deeper as he comes inside me. He holds me tight and fills me up. Our mouths connected and our bodies in sync as we ride a wave so close to crashing down around us.

When I stop shivering, he relaxes, kissing my lips once more.

“We should take off.” He smirks, glancing to where the couple was, except now they’re gone. “Just in case.”

I lift off him, and he pulls my panties to the side, tucking himself away.

And I can’t help but giggle as he sneaks us past security and out of the club. Because Crew sets me free when everything else in life is a weight holding me down.

My eyes open tothe sun. It’s blinding and bright as it shines through an open window.

I take a moment to adjust to where I am.

My bedroom is dark, with blackout curtains and dark gray walls. The opposite of this hotel room. Glancing over, I stretch my arm out and find an empty spot where Echo slept. If we weren’t in Oakland, I’d think she disappeared again, but as I look through the balcony door, I spot her.

Rolling over to watch her, I wrap my arms around her pillow and inhale her lavender scent. If she were here, I’d be tempted to sink back into her, but the sight of her tightens my heart in my chest.

She’s wrapped in a blanket, sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise. The warm glow brightens even the dark half of her hair, and there’s no better sight to wake up to.

Climbing out of bed, I slip into my sweats and walk toward her.

She’s a gravitational force.

Uncontainable energy.

And the girl surprises me at every turn.

Like last night at the club. I wasn’t actually planning to fuck her in public, even if I know the forbidden nature of it turns her on. But something about how she sat on my lap and offered the challenge. How she trusts me to take her as far as we can go without getting caught. And something about knowing I could make her mine in front of anyone who might be watching was a temptation I couldn’t resist.

“About time you woke up.” Echo smiles up at me.
