They've been trying to find him but he has proved exceptionally evasive to an extent that is surprising.
He leaves no recognizable markings, no track marks, no evidence, and no scent.
"Poor Ganee's parents, they are still filled with grievance." Head Sentinel Rodarh remarked from his chair across the table and the others nodded their head. Ganee is his last victim and the boy is barely thirteen years old.
"Well, we managed to catch a scent. It is faint, very faint, but we are doing our best to know if we can use it to catch that bastard." Alpha Asisy, the Alpha of the tiger Changelings stated in anger.
"I met Ganee's mother, yesterday, in the market. Poor woman looks like death." Alpha Alphose tone was filled with pity. He is the council representative of the Cougar clan.
"Why wouldn't she? She lost her only son four weeks ago to the hands of that Wild Psycho. That will break down any changeling mother even if she has twelve children. And Ganee's mother only had Ganee." Head Sentinel Rodarh replied angrily. He is the council representative of the Elephant Clan.
The elephant Alpha, Alpha Onaries, is on a mission to the non-changeling world so he couldn't attend.
"Well, we do agree that he will be caught, we just need to extend our searches to more clans and dwellings." Head Sentinel Adanel, finally added. He is the council representative for the werewolf Clan.
Automatically, the twelve members of the council looked at him with interest. The man does not talk much. The council of twelve will disagree but the Alpha King knows they fear Adanel well...with good reasons.
The round table holds six elegant, elaborated chairs occupied by five council members and the special throne chair occupied by the Alpha King, with six extra elaborated chairs behind the first six chairs for other council members. All of them were staring at Adanel.
"I think Head Sentinel Adanel is right. It is time to extend the search to wilder ranges." That is from Alpha Rodarh.
The others nodded their agreement. Then, they all looked to their Alpha King for his guidance and last decision.
Finally, Wolfariane straightened in his chair slowly but lethally and nodded his head too. "Yes. He is right. I have been thinking about it for a while. Just because most of his killings are happening in the heart of Naturiah does not mean we have to base our searches only on the mountain lion clan and werewolf clan."
The others nodded their heads too.
"I will have the Sentinels in charge of the hunt for the Wild Psycho extend their search to more clans and even across the borders. This cannot continue." He said firmly, with barely contained anger.
Just the thought of the killer that has been hunting and killing his people for the past two years annoys Wolfariane greatly. Of course, he is better at hiding it than the others. Well, except Adanel.
"It cannot continue." A few others stated too, while the rest nodded their head.
"What about our hunt for your stolen ring, Alpha King? Has there been progress?" Alpha Asisy asked again.
The Alpha King faced the left side of the table, "I will let Alpha Degar answer that." He'd sent the leopard Alpha to find out about the progress the day before.
Alpha Degar inclined his head toward the Alpha King before he faced the council, "Yes, there has been progress. According to the Sentinels we sent to the non-changeling world, they brought in news that the old facility remains burnt down, and from the look of things, it doesn't look like it has been set foot in, for the past eighteen years."
He paused and added, "But they are still camouflaged and waiting to know if they can pick up more details."
"That means, there's a new location those monsters are using. Were they able to detect it?" Alpha Alphose asked.
"No, but they are still searching the remains of the facility for more clues. We will still hear more from them." Alpha Degar answered.
"Fair enough. Do keep us all updated." Alpha Alphose said and the rest nodded.
"We will discuss more on it in the next council meeting." The Alpha King was doing his best to contain the wolf and cougar in him that is snarling in rage at the mention of the lab facility that ruined their lives.
The calmness and restfulness he has been feeling all morning have disappeared like the wind because of the discussion at hand.
"Fuck, those monsters." Head Sentinel Rodarh growled angrily too. "I heard the culprit that lost the ring and made us all a target is here in our land. That ring is a grand mark of the changelings, but now it has fallen into the hands of those monsters again, revealing us to them. Again. Who is that person that caused this?"
"Thank goodness someone brought it up, I have been meaning to ask that." That is Head Sentinel Rodarh, and his eyes have gone light-brown showing that the elephant is close to the surface, and it is furious.
"Who is that changeling? He needs to be brought to the council, and he needs to be punished for putting all our lives in danger." He growled.
The rest of the council nodded and muttered their agreement.
