"Not that girl, Simon. THE girl." He emphasized.
The emphasis helped Simon realize who the girl is. "Oh. The Successful?"
"Exactly." That is what they call her, for the past eighteen years.
That girl was the success they'd been searching for. For six months, they searched for that success but it eluded them. Until that girl.
The only human girl that survived the sexual; encounter with Number 6.
The only human girl he did not tear apart after their sexual encounter.
The only human girl that got pregnant with his child.
No one knows that there's a girl like that, not even Number 6 himself. Just him, Simon, Dr. Angor, and Hector.
They'd been surprised when they came to his cage after the screams and the roars, only to see Number 6 passed out as usual but this time around, his victim is alive. Barely alive, but alive nonetheless.
The Successful had been whimpering, tears streaming down her cute little face, so much blood dripping from between her legs but she was alive. Unlike the rest that was shredded to pieces beyond recognition.
They'd pondered on the reason why he left her alive, but no one knows. That was a surprise.
Another surprise is the fact that the girl got pregnant afterward.
"Alright. I will tell our men to search for her and bring her." Again, Simon's voice dragged him out of his thoughts.
"Yes. Exactly."
Simon turned to leave. He got to the door, stopped, and whirled around. "We call her The Successful but that isn't her name. Our men will need her name for the search."
Dr. Beloca walked to the window and looked out. It's not really a good sight because this lab is in the middle of nowhere, again, where they can never be found.
"Her name is Hazel. Hazel Smith."
Four Days Later, Ismena is having the most horrible of nightmares. It was so horrible that she woke up screaming at the top of her voice.
Footsteps padded the floor before the door swung open and Eline was right there in her bedroom in battle mood. "What is it!? Who is that...!?"
Ismena was breathing hard, sweat pouring from her body, her heart pounding soundly in her chest. "It...was...just a nightmare!" She gasped loudly.
"Oh, thank the Moon Goddess, I was so worried." Eline walked towards her and lowered herself onto Ismena's bed. "How bad is this nightmare that it left you feeling this way?"
Ismena shook her head. She can't remember what it is. No matter how badly she tried to remember, she is unable to do so. But the fear of it has her body shaking, she was almost on the verge of tears.
"I-I can't remember..." She gasped, grabbing her chest and squeezing tightly. It isn't her heart condition this time around, but the terror of the nightmare she can't even remember.
Eline stayed, patting her back softly for a long time until the fears abated. Her breathing returned back to normal and her body stopped shaking.
"Are you feeling better now?" The young woman asked softly.
Ismena nodded her head, "Thank you for staying with me."
Eline has become a good friend in the past few days, and she has come to like her like that.
"No problem at all." Eline likes her too, she is beginning to see her as the friend she never had. "Try getting some sleep again. It's barely dawn. The nightmares wouldn't come again, and you'll wake up feeling better."
"Okay, okay," Ismena nodded and laid down again.
Long after Eline left, she still pondered on the nightmare she can't even remember, she was scared to fall asleep again.
