I shook my head. “No, I don’t.”

Marcello stepped behind me, his hands on my hips. I looked up, and he stared down at me, shirtless with his black hair mussed up. He gave me a sexy smirk. They looked so much alike. Felt so similar. I should have known Marcello had more muscle and no scars on his upper back.

Maybe it was the alcohol.

Luca still hadn’t spoken a word. He wouldn’t back out of a deal with the Knights. They would never see him look weak. Noone did business with weak men. And women were throwaways in this world.

Luca acted like I was just another girl.

So I wanted him to feel the pain.

“You know that thing you like,” I said to Luca. “That trick I do with my tongue. I’ll show it to Marcello and see if he likes it as much as you do.” A smile tugged at the corners of my mouth. “I want you to think about that when I’m gone.”

The color drained from his knuckles. He looked like he was going to kill me, then his brother.

Fuck him.

He brought this on himself.

The Devil deserved to burn for his sins.

“You lost the game, Luca,” I added to rub it in. “And you didn’t even try to find me.”

“Bullshit,” he snapped. “I looked for you.”

“Not very hard.” I held his gaze. “You don’t own me, Luca. Never did. The game is over, and you lost.”

Marcello squeezed my bicep, and I glanced up at him. He looked like he wanted to devour me. I slid my lip between my teeth, then licked my lips. A guttural groan fell from his beautiful lips.

“Take me upstairs, Marcello.”

“Drea,” Luca warned.

“Luca,” I said as I turned my back on him. “Burn in Hell.”

He repeated my name.

A plea.

Marcello led me out of the sitting room with his hand on my shoulder. I didn’t give Luca another thought. My skin felt on fire, and my pulse was pounding in my ears. I wanted him to be jealous and angry, and I wanted him to pay for his sins.

No one followed us.

The guards looked up, taking in the sight of me topless.

“At ease,” Marcello told them.

They nodded and lowered their heads. I caught one of them checking me out and rolled my eyes.

“I want to see your bedroom,” I told Marcello.

He slid his hand behind my back, a rare smile in place. Then we climbed the stairs to the fourth floor.

LUCA

The veinin my neck clawed its way out of my skin. My heart had only raced this fast when I’d taken a life. That was a high unlike any other. And when I fucked Alex, she’d always made me feel. She made my black heart beat and balanced out the darkness inside me.
