Jordyn sighed. “Okay, confession. While we were waiting for you to get dressed, I may or may not have made us a little treat for this impromptu road trip.”

“It’s delicious,” I moaned. “And what did you call it again?”

“Marijuana smoothie,” Jordyn repeated. “It’s a temporary name until I can get back home and figure it out.”

I wasn’t sure if the smoothie was already getting to me, but it took me a while before it clicked what she was talking about. “Weed? I’m drinking a weed smoothie?”

Jordyn nodded and looked at me in the rearview mirror. “Yep. My bad for not telling you what it was before you took a sip. Have you tried weed before?”

I shook my head. “I’ve never even had a cigarette before.”

“Oh hell,” Tyler said. “Jordyn, you out here deflowering weed virgins while driving ten miles over the speed limit. Can you slow the hell down? You’re gonna give me a heart attack and Sunflower back here is already halfway done with her smoothie.”

I laughed. “You called me Sunflower because my dress has sunflowers on it, right?” I poked Tyler in his side and noticed that his eyes were popping more than mine were. “You’re beautiful, you know that? Like a fairy.”

“Shit,” Tyler muttered. “It’s already too late. The weed smoothie has got her seeing fairies and shit, y’all.”

“How about you don’t finish the rest of that.” Serenity took the rest of the smoothie out of my hand.

“Tell us about Caden instead,” Avery suggested.

I smiled wide and toothy. “Caden fucks like a rodeo savage.”

Ty spit out some of his smoothie. “Well that was very fuckin’ specific. So that means you and Caden have had sex?”

“You don’t have to answer that, Cordelia,” Jordyn interjected. “Y’all, we shouldn’t talk to her when she’s like this.”

“Yes, we’ve had sex,” I announced. “Lots and lots and lots of naughty sex.”

“Caden?” Serenity asked. “I can’t even imagine Caden having naughty sex.”

Nodding my head, I took advantage of her surprised face by swiping my smoothie out her hand. “I’ve wanted to be fucked dirty most of my adult life. Caden made those fantasies a reality.”

“And you both met in college, right?” Avery asked. “So there was probably a lot of built-up sexual tension. Malakai told me he could tell Caden had feelings for you when you first got to the ranch.”

“I had feelings for him, too,” I admitted.

“Crayson said Caden couldn’t even stop looking at you when they were there,” Jordyn stated.

“That was probably more so because of my clothes than me.”

Jordyn shook her head. “Nah, Crayson said it was for sure you. He even called him out on it before he came home.”

“Really?”

Both Jordyn and Avery nodded their heads. I grew emotional, although I had no idea where these emotions were coming from. “Caden makes me feel beautiful and strong and desired,” I told them. “We may have just been friends back in college, but deep down, I always knew he was the kind of man I saw myself with. He’s selfless and loyal. I’ve spent these past few weeks falling more and more in love with him with each passing day. I love his parents. I love his friends. I loved you guys within minutes of meeting y’all. How can I go back to Texas if my heart is still in Arkansas?”

“Wow,” Ty said, taking a sip of his smoothie. “You about to make a bitch cry. I didn’t think Caden’s country ass was gonna find a woman who could match him, but, honey, I am all for whatever y’all have going on.”

“He’s the happiest I’ve ever seen him,” Serenity added. “I have a feeling both of y’all are on the same page.”

“I think we are, too.” I took my last sip. “And I don’t mind one bit that he used to be a stripper because—”

Jordyn hit the brakes in the middle of the highway, the sudden jerk of the car and the sets of shocked eyes looking my way forcing me to playback my words.

My mouth dropped when I realized what I’d done. “I didn’t mean to say that.”

“But you did,” Jordyn shrieked.
