We all step back, half falling in our spots on the big couch.

The two geeks of the group start questioning her. “How do you know where he is? Where is he?” they ask in surround sound.

I can see she's getting frustrated, so I stand up and bark, which is something I rarely do. “Shut the fuck up and let her talk.”

Just like that, the room goes silent. Ivy rubs her head. “Long story short because we don't have time. I got an invitation the other day to join a specialized guild. If I accepted, they would send me an assignment. My first assignment was orisStanley. They told me he's the one that killed my parents. I didn’t understand at the time they were talking about my biological parents, too. Well, they just sent me a message telling me where he is. He won't be there long and that I had to complete the bond before we went. So I did it. Now can we go get the motherfucker.” She jumps out of her seat, throws her shirt back on, and makes her way to the door.

My brothers and I all look at each other for a moment. Clearly, we’re all lost.

“Are you assholes coming or am I doing this myself?” she asks as she grabs her leather jacket.

I do the only reasonable thing I can. “You heard her. Let’s ride.”

We all scramble, throwing on our gear. Colors last of course. We never ride without them. By the time we get to our bikes, Ivy’s already straddled hers and is waiting for us. We quickly mount up but then Beck hops off and puts his helmet back when the car starts and revs its engine as we stare.

“Guess Kira wants to tag along,” he chuckles as he walks to the car. The driver’s door pops open as he gets close. “Alright, bossy girl. I’m coming.”

One of these days, someone’s going to tell me what is up with that fucking car. But first, Stanley.

Chapter 30

Ivy

Ican not believe our luck. Stanley is hiding not twenty minutes from the compound’s front gate. The guild says he's alone except two guards out front and the bitch he's fucking.

I'm riding when I hear King in my head,“Testing. Can you all sound off. Need to know this worked.”

One by one, the guys say a number which I know to be their rank in the club. I debate a moment what to say. Seven or…“Uno.”

“You've been replaced King.”Jax laughs.

“Only for her. Seven,”he says, causing whistles and hollering in my head.Fuck this is going to take time to get used to.

“Guys… please. One at a fuckin time. This is the fuckin weirdest shit ever.”

“Agree,”they all voice as one. That’s only slightly better than everyone talking at once. At least it was just one word, but still.

“Where to?”King asks. As I stop within view of a small hacienda. I cut Scar’s engine behind a tree and wait for the guys. They follow suit.

I'm trying to get a lay of the small place when King asks, “Here? You’re telling me he's here? This close?”

I turn and kiss his cheek. “Yep.” I pop the P. “Even better is there's only two guards and his bitch.” I smile.

Jax scowls. “Positive? Sure it's not another trap?”

I raise an eyebrow. “One way to find out.” I start walking up the drive like I own the place.

King yells in my head,“Someone remind me to bust that sweet ass when we get home.”

I chuckle and keep walking. I focus on the door but hear King giving off orders. Beck gets told to wait with Kira again. Makes me wonder if something’s wrong with him. Does he not fight? DJ and King will come in behind me in two minutes. And Jax and Neo are supposed to shift and come in from the back of the house.

Sure enough, about two hundred yards from the house I hear two guns chamber. A voice to my left says, “Stop right there, bitch.”

I would be offended but there’s a thud not two seconds later and DJ says,“Dead.”

“Second down. Ivy, don't…”King starts but I don’t listen to the rest. I’m already getting good at tuning these guys out. That’s awesome.

I march right through the front door. “Honey, I'm home.” I draw out the last word. “Oh, Stanley… come out, come out wherever you are!” I sing as I walk through the house.
