Trinity

Thishastobea joke. They can’t really believe I’m… what? Going to marry them? I don’t even know them! They must sense me spiraling because Ashton reaches over and lays his hand on my knee. It sends a bolt of electricity straight to my pussy. Just like it did when his brother touched me. I don’t know what’s going on, but my body is clearly all over the ‘I’m theirs’ idea.

“I realize we might be going a little too fast for you. After all, we only just met…” I nod my head, internally screaming, ‘Ya think?!’ “But when you know, you know.”

“Oh? And youknow, do you? You barely know my freakingname, let alone anything that would lead you to believe we’re ‘meant to be’.” I roll my eyes at the very idea. “Besides, look at me.” I wave my hand down my body, indicating the abundance of curves and smooth, only by clothing, stomach. “I’m not exactly your type now, am I?”

The brothers share a look before staring at me like I’ve grown another head. “You’re not our type? And how ‌do you know what our type is?” Andrew demands.

My mouth goes dry, and I can’t find the words to answer him. Isn’t it obvious? Not me. That’s what. I’m no thin beauty queen that would look good on their arms.

“She doesn’t see it,” he tells his brother.

“What a shame. We’ll just have to prove it to her… over and over,” Ashton responds, running his perfectly straight white teeth over his bottom lip.

“What? What don’t I see? What will you have to prove to me?”

“How fucking beautiful you are.”

“How much we want you.”

“Me?” I squeak.

“All in due time, my bunny. We don’t want to scare you off. We can wait until you’re ready. Until you accept us. We’ll make you want us as badly as we want you,” Andrew vows, and a shiver runs down my spine at the promise in his voice.

Holding my head high, I assert, “I’m no bunny. I can more than handle you… both of you.”

His eyes flare, and I wonder if maybe I didn’t speak too soon.

“That may be, kitten, but I play the long game. I’ll make you fall for me. And when you do, you’ll hold the keys to the world. Now, on your computer, you’ll find our schedules. I expect you to be at every meeting. If we have conflicting meetings, there will be an asterisk by the meeting you are to attend. You’ll spend the rest of the day familiarizing yourself with our work. Our clients. Research the company we have a meeting with tomorrow afternoon. If you have any questions, my door is always open to you.”

“Mine too. Though I’d prefer you to come to my office for more fun reasons.” Ashton winks at me, and I feel my face flush with heat at the innuendo.

Andrew growls, and I snap my head in his direction.

“You’re dismissed, Trinity. Ashton. You stay.”

Narrowing my eyes at the bossy mother fucker, I stand and walk out of the room. There’s a lot to do and little time to think about whatever the fuck just went down in there. I sit at my desk and open the calendar app, seeing our schedules have already been synced. Clicking on the meeting for tomorrow afternoon, I jot down the company’s name, and spend the rest of the day digging into them and the reason for the meeting.

It’s a small business. They have an idea for some kind of bio-engineered food but don’t have the money to back the research needed. They’re coming to us… the guys… with an investment offer. Forty percent of their company if the guys shell out the money they need to make it happen. If they succeed, this could be huge. I can’t wait to hear their pitch. I really hope the guys agree to it. It’s honestly right up their alley—billionaire do-gooders… who would have thought.

I’m ‌disappointed I don’t see or hear from them again for the rest of the day. As I’m about to shut off my computer, it pings with a message. I click on it and smile when I see what it says.

Andrew:Come to my office before you leave, kitten.

I finish turning the computer off, grab my purse, then walk into his office without knocking. He told me to come, why should I knock?

“Did you need something, Boss?” I purr.

“You have no idea,” he growls as he stalks toward me. “Tell me, how was your first day? Are you ready for the meeting tomorrow?”

“It was fine. Not much happened… besides our…oddconversation this morning. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s meeting.” I skirt over any talk of the nonsense he and his brother went on about earlier. I’ve moved on… completely forgotten about it.

“What are your thoughts about this company we’re meeting with?”

“Well, it’s too soon to say, but I’m certainly intrigued. If they can really do what they say they can… it would definitely be worth the investment.”

“And if they can’t?”

“Well, obviously, that’s a bit of a risk. You won’t know for sure until you try.” I shrug. “Aren’t some things worth the risk, though?”

“One thing you’ll learn about me, Miss Decker, I’m a gambling man, but when I’m all in… I’mall in.” His gaze burns into me, and I shift on my feet. “Go home and get some sleep. You’ve got a big day ahead of you. Your first meeting… I can’t wait to see how you do.” He smirks at me, but somehow it’s sweet, not condescending.

I don’t know what to make of this man. One minute he’s a grouch, then he’s possessive, now sweet? What personality is he gonna show next?

“Right… I’ll see you tomorrow then…” I turn to leave, but his next words stop me, making my pussy clench and my teeth grind.

“My address is in your contacts. Feel free to come by if you decide you can’t wait till tomorrow to see me.”

I stomp out of his office, feigning indignation. His dark laughter follows me out as I round my desk and head for the elevator. If he thinks for one minute that I’ll be using his contact information for anything other than business purposes, he has another thing coming. I rant to myself the entire way to the first floor about self-entitled bosses who think they’re so fucking sexy all they have to do is call, and I’ll come running. I’ve got news for those boys. I’m no fucking toy.
