I giggled and watched them all interact with each other and the babies, then raised my eyebrows when Jayden slid into the bed next to me.
"Goddess, I missed being able to get this close to you," he breathed in my ear as he cuddled me. "I'm glad Lark already shrunk your torpedo back to normal."
I rolled my eyes, even though I had to admit that my belly reallyhadlooked like a giant torpedo sticking out of me. It was freaky and uncomfortable, and I sincerely hoped triplets weren't going to be the norm every time I got pregnant.
"Try being the one who had to lug it to the bathroom twenty times a day," I grumbled and poked his ribs, making him jerk. "I don't know how human women do it without a wolf."
"Shifter or human, women are amazing. If having pups were left up to the males, shifters would die out in one generation." He blew a laugh out of his nose, then shook his head. "We've said it so many times before, but I have to say it again. You are so strong, sweetness. So brave and so strong. I love you."
"I love you, too, my dragon." A yawn caught me by surprise. "Sorry."
"Sleep for a bit. I'll watch the pups."
"Which ones?" I mumbled against his throat as I snuggled closer.
"Ha! Both of them, sweetness. The big ones and the little ones."
That made me chuckle, and I closed my eyes just for a moment...

I woke up to Jayden climbing out of bed and someone pulling down the front of my hospital gown. I started to protest both actions until I felt three little warm bodies nuzzling into me. Opening my eyes, I saw my pups on my chest and my mates staring down at us.
"Which one is which again?" Wyatt scratched the top of his head.
"The nurse put a green band on the wrist of the first one to come out," Mason told him, "so that one is Ambrose. The second one, Bastian, got a blue band."
"And Caspian has the red band?" Cole confirmed, and I nodded.
" 'K, we're going to have to do something a little more permanent than that, or Ambrose is going to be Caspian before they're a week old," Ash laughed.
"In my bag, there are three bottles of fingernail polish," I said. "One of you paint Ambrose's big toe green, Bastian's blue, and Caspian's red. That will last for quite a while."
"Damn, baby, you think of everything!" Cole's tone was full of admiration as Jayden went over to grab my bag.
"I call dibs on Amby," Wyatt said.
"And I got Bash." Jayden brought my bag over, rooting around in it for the nail polish.
And Ash shouted, "Cas!"
At his loud voice, Caspian let out a tiny wail, which made Ambrose jerk in reaction. I knew it wasn't done with any awareness on the pup's part, but one of Ambrose's arms flailed out and landed on his brother, who calmed almost instantly.
"Oh, my heart," I whispered. "Look, boys."
My mates' heads swiveled down to us in an instant and all of their eyes softened. I linked them what happened, and they all aww-ed.
"What a good little man," Cole whispered.
"He's protective of his little brother already," Mason smirked.
"They're triplets," Jayden said with an eye roll. "They're literally the same age. I mean, like what? Five minutes difference?"
"Bash and Cas will always be Amby's little brothers," Mason disagreed. "No matter how old they are."
"It was just a muscle jerk." Wyatt shook his head. "Newborns aren't capable of much else."
"You're the jerk," Cole muttered and wrapped him up in a headlock before giving him a noogie. "Let us imagine what we want."
