Only one wolf had stayed silent this whole time, and I turned to Jayden, whose eyes were his normal dragon ones.

"Is he okay?"

"Um." Jayden rubbed the back of his neck. "He'll come out later. He's just a bit emotional right now."

"Aw, is Q crying?" Granite teased.

And Jayden's eyes burned golden for a moment as his fist flew out and socked Granite-in-Wyatt's-body in the mouth.

"Not in front of my pups!" Sid hissed and turned away from them as if Ambrose was payinganyattention to his wolf fathers' antics.

"Bad Q!" Granite fumed, wiping his bloody lip on his t-shirt.

"Step away, please, until he calms down," Jayden told him.

Granite frowned, but walked over to where Topaz was cooing at Bastian. In seconds, he was making faces and little noises at the baby, back to his normal cheerful self.

As for Quartz, he'd grown a lot in the years we'd been together, but he was stillQuartzand he always would be.

Posy? I come out with my mates to see my pups?Lark asked in a weak voice, utterly exhausted from helping the babies come into the world as well as healing me.

Of course, wolfie. Just be careful to not overdo it, okay?I cautioned her, then handed control over to her.

She only had time to blink before Jayden's hands cupped her face, and her silver eyes flashed to his golden ones.

Oh.NotJayden.

"My sweet little mate. I'm so proud of you," Quartz crooned.

"Pups fine?"

"Yes. They are perfect." He looked over his shoulder at his brothers. "Bring them for our mate to see."

So Sid, Topaz, and Garnet trooped over and patiently leaned down one at a time so she could inspect and smell each baby.

Then she fell limply back against the bed.

"You can see them again after you recover. For now, sleep, my little mate." Quartz kissed her forehead. "Sleep and heal. I'll guard your rest, my precious little mate."

Lark smiled at him and closed her eyes, too worn out to stay awake any longer, and I came back to myself to see Quartz's face inches from mine.

"And you, Posy? Are you well?"

"I am." I smiled and laid my palm along the side of his face.

"Thank you. Thank you for giving us sons." He kissed my forehead, then subsided.

"I hardly recognize him anymore," my dragon murmured, his eyes crinkling up at the corners as he smiled down at me. "Giving me back control so easily, loving his mate so gently—"

"You forget he punch me?" Granite huffed, but calmed down when I picked up his hand and squeezed it.

"Topaz, can Granite hold Bastian now?"

I chose him because I knew Sid was not going to give Ambrose back anytime soon, and Garnet had held Caspian for the shortest amount of time. Plus, Topaz was usually very cooperative and eager to please.

"Yes, yes, mate!" Topaz grinned and carefully passed the pup to Granite. "Watch his head, Gran."

"I know, Paz," Granite rolled his eyes. "Mom havehow manypups?"
