That be our pups soon!Lark skipped around, as restless as the babies and I were today.Ashy going to be so protective, even more than with Rosebud!
True enough.I grinned and rubbed my big belly again.Hopefully, he'll calm down some before she's eighteen. Otherwise, Goddess help her mate. Not only will he have to make it past Bridger, he'll have to get her second dad's approval, too.
That made Lark giggle before she shivered all over.
Oh! Posy, Posy, Posy! I think pups coming soon!
Yeah, I think so, too, wolfie.
According to Dr. Myers, I had three more weeks to go, but I'd been having contractions that I was pretty sure were the real kind for at least an hour now, and, if I wasn't mistaken, the wetness under me meant my water just broke.
Which was fine by me. I was over this whole mess. Everything took too much effort, even my hair hurt some days, and I'd been on bed rest for so long, I feared I was becoming one with the mattress.
Tell mates so I can tell my wolves!Lark squealed, hopping up and down.
The babies are coming. I need to go to the clinic,I linked my boys calmly, then counted down until the explosion.5, 4, 3, 2—
The door flew open and five cursing men tried to crowd through it all at once.
Stop. Remember what we practiced, I linked them because yelling wouldn't do any good. This is not a drill, so try your best to do your part right.
Although I managed to stay calm, the worsening pain was probably going to put an end to that very soon.
Mason, bring the car around. Jayden, get the babies' bag. Wyatt, get my bag. Ash, carry me and Mr. Nibbles to the car. Cole, make sure both bags and all six of us actually make it into the car this time.

As far as the actual birth went, I didn't remember much except pain and pushing.
Oh, and Cole hitting the floor hard in a dead faint when the first baby came out.
The others had no room to tease him, though, since they hardly did any better.
Ash had hopped around like a kangaroo, bouncing into everyone and knocking things over, until Mason had grabbed him and literallysaton him in the corner. Of course, Mason looked so pasty white, I was fairly sure he was going down anyway, but had the common sense to contain Ash by using him as a cushion.
Jayden had tried to help Cole, but was crying so hard that he gave up. Sinking to his knees next to him, he covered his face with his hands and sobbed, both of them missing the next baby's arrival.
And Wyatt had stood like a statue with a dropped jaw and enormous eyes, and I knewexactlywhat he was thinking before he even said it.
"She'll go back to normal, won't she, doc? She ain't going to stay like that, is she? Well?Is she?!"
"Yes, alpha," Dr. Myers had said absently, too busy catching the second baby to really bother with his nonsense. "Lark will have everything back to normal in a few days."
Once my part was done, I laid back to rest and eavesdropped on my mates. They were trying to catch glimpses of the pups as the nurses cleaned them.
"They're so tiny," Wyatt whispered. "Are they supposed to be that tiny? Is it because Posy's tiny?"
"Of course they're tiny!" Cole snapped. "They just got born! This is the only size brand-new babies come in!"
"Don't you remember when any of your brothers were born? How tiny they were?" Jayden murmured.
"They weren'tthistiny."
"Multiples are usually smaller than singles," Mason explained. "They shared one womb, you know. There's only so much space to grow in there."
Then a fierce growl rattled everything in the room and even made my bed shake a bit.
"What are you doing?! You ain't sticking that up my kid's nose!"
