We came back from Tall Pines Monday evening, and Tuesday was ... busy ... after Mr. Price's visit.

Which is why I woke up Wednesday morning in a panic. I hadn't had a chance to get Peri a present for her party tonight.

"Wyatt?" I ran my fingers through his fluffy hair, trying to wake him up from where he lay half on top of me.

"Mrph," he muttered sleepily and snuggled his face further into my breasts.

I smiled, loving these morning moments with him. He was such a grumpy little bear when he first woke up.

"What did you guys get Peri for her birthday?"

"Arpd.”

Giggling, I slid my hands under his jaw and tilted his face up.

"What was that, my fifth star?"

"AirPods," he groaned groggily and didn't bother to open his eyes.

"What are they?"

"Like headphones with no wires."

"Is that from all of you, or did you each get her something?"

"Mase new laptop, Cole concert tickets, Jay roller skates, Ash an expensive-ass handbag."

"Roller skates?"

"She wanted 'em."

"What can I get her?"
