I blushed at his words and buried my face into his side, and both of them chuckled.

"And call her by her title," Ash grumbled. "She’s your luna."

"Little luna bunny," Emerson agreed.

I snickered and pulled on Ash’s shirt so he’d look down at me. I gave him a happy smile, and he gave in with a roll of his eyes.

"All right, but only because Posy likes it."

I did, too, because bunnies made me think of Mr. Nibbles, and Mr. Nibbles made me feel safe.

With a deep laugh, Emerson straightened up and towered over me again, and his face returned to a blank expression that could rival Mason’s.

Oh. Yeah.That’swhy I associated him with danger.

And now we know there a teddy bear inside,Lark laughed.

While Ash and Emerson talked, I peeked around to see that Mason had taken Matthew off to one side and was chewing him out. You wouldn't have known it from Mason’s face, but Matthew’s neck was bared in submission, his eyes were wide, and his body trembled.

Good.

Looking around to check on everyone else, I saw Luke and Lilah had remained on the porch with Jayden. Across the yard, Crew, Tristan, Peri, and Cole were talking with Tyler, who blushed every time he made eye contact with Peri.

Oh. OH! I need to find out when he turns eighteen!

Lark laughed at me, and I knew she’d sent my thoughts to Topaz when Cole turned his head and winked at me. I wiggled my eyebrows at him, and he snorted.

But where’s Wyatt?

Stepping away from Ash, I ducked out of his loose hold and spun in a circle, looking for my errant mate.

"Are you looking for Wyatt?" Ash reached out one hand to lace his fingers through mine. "He just went to get more coffee."

Sure enough, a second later, Wyatt came out of the house with a steaming mug in his hand.

"Still needs that third cup to wake up, huh?" Emerson shook his head.

"Some things never change." Ash snorted, then brought our joined hands up to kiss my knuckles. "The twins are almost here, princess."

With Emerson in tow, we walked over to Peri’s group, and Jayden and the MacGregor siblings joined us. I looked around for Mason and saw him still chewing Matthew out, and I almost felt bad for the beta.

Peri, Lilah and I formed our own circle as Jayden introduced Luke to the betas and explained a little of the situation at Tall Pines.

"So much testosterone," Peri complained. "We need to go roll around in pink glitter or something to shield us from it."

Lilah and I giggled, then I got down to business.

"I saw you talking withsomeone," I teased her with a knowing smile.

Her cheeks flushed a pretty pink, and Lilah hid a smile behind her hand. As if reading each other’s minds, we put our heads together.

"He’s awfully sweet, isn’t he?" Peri said in a nearly silent voice. "So shy!"

"And he’s adorable," Lilah agreed in a whisper. "I hope he’s your mate. Seeing you two together, the chemistry is obvious, unlike with my brother."

"Luke’s hot, but he doesn’tneeda mate. Not like Tyler does." Showing what a good person she was, Peri added, "Even if it isn’t me, I hope his mate is worthy of his precious heart."

"Aww!" Lilah and I squealed together.
