“Hope has spoken, apparently,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“Boys are headed out on the town, Captain’s orders,” Serenity declared, and Atlas dragged himself to his feet on the other side of my lady.

“I hear you,” I said with a nod. “You need me you call me, otherwise you ladies enjoy yourselves,” I said with a wink at my girl as I untangled myself from her.

“I don’t understand,” she said, her voice faint with surprise.

“Only thing you need to do is tell us your favorite ice cream flavor,” Hope said flatly.

“You’re in serious need of some girl time to vent and get it together,” Faith declared.

“No overbearing men allowed,” Serenity said with a wink.

I smiled at Jussy and gave a nod. “You’re in good hands, baby.”

I blew her a kiss and stepped out, Atlas shutting the door behind us.

He and I both sighed in unison, a weight lifting off us as well. We both looked at each other and laughed.

“Man, I can’t wait for the upheaval to calm it’s fuckin’ tits and to be back home,” he said.

I nodded. “It’s a lot in a short amount of time,” I agreed.

He nodded and said, “I know it’s starting to stress me out. How you doing?”

I thought about it, and I mean I genuinely thought about it. “I could use a break for a minute,” I agreed.

“Word, let’s go get one.”

“Like Hope said; off, we fuck, brother.”

“Off, we fuck,” he agreed.

And off we did fuck, where or to do what I had no fucking idea, but hey… that was half the fun, am I right?

Justice…

“Mm-mm.” Hope shook her head and swallowed her shot and looked me square in the eyes. “Girl, enough of this sad bitch’s shit, tonight? Tonight, we arebadbitches and you gonna need to get on board and start acting accordingly.”

“That’s right,” Serenity agreed.

“We arebadbitches, notsadbitches,” Faith declared, raising her shot glass and downing the contents.

I blinked and took my own shot and winced. I wasn’t much of a hard alcohol drinker and certainly not shots.

“I should burn all his shit,” I said off handedly. “That would be a bad bitch thing to do, right?” I asked.

“Fuck yeah!” Hope cried. “Now you’re talkin’.”

“Wait, what?” I asked.

“You’re absolutely right,” Serenity agreed. “You got anything around here still that’d make good tinder? Some of his clothes, pictures, letters? Anything like that.”

“Um, I mean, um… uh, probably?” I stammered out.

“I’ll help you look,” Faith declared and she got up off the living room floor and pulled me to my feet.
