Vienna
Pulling up the listing on my laptop, my eyes widened when I saw the price the owner had decided to go with. The three-quarter of a million-dollar price tag was a good hundred thousand higher than I’d expected, but the real estate market was hot at the moment, so sellers could pretty much ask for whatever they wanted. Lured by the possibility of a twenty-thousand-dollar commission falling in my lap, I combed through the listing and pulled the comps I’d promised her. Then I jotted down some notes on similar properties currently on the market before replying again.

Will do! What about the stall barn?
Best regards,
Dean Moore
Her reply was almost instantaneous again, but it only left me with more questions. Like why did she want to buy a house with a pole barn big enough for a jumping arena in the first place?

I’m not worried about that since I don’t own any horses.
Thanks,
Vienna

Can I ask what you’ll be doing with the riding arena if you don’t have any horses?
Best regards,
Dean Moore
She left me hanging all day, but that didn’t stop me from doing what I’d promised. While I was at the broker open house, I let the listing agent know that I might already have someone interested in the property. Hal practically salivated over the possibility of selling the place so soon after it was listed and sent me pictures and a video tour that hadn’t been uploaded to MLS. Between what he gave me and the photos I took, I had plenty to send to Vienna when I went into the office that afternoon. So much that I had to save everything to my cloud-based storage and send her a link instead.
