We quickly wrapped the second baby girl up and handed her to Bambi as she sat. Goose took the first baby girl from Rooster and sat down on the ground next to Bambi.

The other nurses came out with a bed and carefully got Bambi and the two babies on it. As Goose and Bambi got brought inside with Doc, I followed behind with Lilah.

“Congrats on your new nieces.”

She smiled as we walked up the stairs. “Thank you. Now let’s talk about how you knew how to deliver not one, but two babies.”

I shrugged and stopped outside of Bambi’s room. “I know shit. That’s all you’re gonna get out of me,”

Lilah shook her head. “I’m gonna find out, so might as well tell me.”

“Ask your husband.”

With that, I walked into the room to check on Bambi and the new baby girls. Goose and she looked so happy, sitting together on the bed with their little babies all wrapped up in pink blankets.

They both looked up and smiled as I walked in. “Congrats, you two. Beautiful little girls, you got there.”

“Thank you for everything, brother. We were lucky to have you there.”

I just shrugged. “It was nothing. You guys are my family. But I’ll let you rest because you bet your ass there’s a line of people waiting to see the newest princesses.”

I walked out the door and headed down the steps. On my way toward the entrance, I passed Joker. He and Bambi had gotten really close last year and were like Willow’s big brother. Joker was the president of our ex-rival club, The Shadow Raiders.

We had helped him overthrow his old president and now he was making the club respectable again.

He smiled at me as we passed. “How are my new girls?”

I laughed and patted him on the back. “Beautiful and going to give Goose so much hell.”

“Fucking perfect. Would love to stay and chat but I need to get my hands on my newprincesas!”

Joker practically ran up the stairs as I made my way down. Realizing I didn’t have my bike, I made the call to the Prospect to come and grab me.

Beckett arrived a few minutes later and brought me back to Hope Hearted, where my bike was waiting for me.

I quickly checked in to see Savannah sleeping and then headed back down to my motorcycle. I needed to just get away. Seeing everybody happy and helping deliver the babies brought back some dark memories.

I hopped on my motorcycle and raced down the road to the Clubhouse. The prospect opened the gates when he saw me coming and then quickly closed them behind me.

Parking my bike, I headed inside and grabbed the first two bottles of liquor I could reach. I headed up to my room and slammed the door, locking it behind me.

I didn’t want to be fucking bothered tonight. Kicking my shoes off, I laid on my bed and popped the top off the first bottle.

Taking a swing, the bitter yet sweet taste of moonshine rolled over my tongue. I chugged half the bottle before I felt the effects.

I laid my head back as I drank more until I needed the second bottle. The room around me spun, and I closed my eyes, taking one more sip.

Letting the alcohol take over me, I slowly went toward the black tunnel…

Chapter Five

Savannah

Itwasearlyinthe morning and I was wandering around Hope Hearted. As I made my way down the stairs and into the kitchen, I was surprised by Hawk.

He was sitting at the round breakfast table with a cup of coffee in his hand and a pair of black sunglasses on.

“Rough night?”
