“Savannah. Eat the fucking fruit, baby.”
She looked up at me and smiled.
“Such a way with words, Wyatt.”
I laughed as I got up from the table and walked over to her. I softly kissed Sav’s forehead before heading to our bedroom.
“Be a good girl and eat and maybe I’ll eat you later.”
I winked as I walked away, and I could hear Savannah laughing to herself. As I was getting ready, Sav came into the bedroom and walked toward the closet.
She took out a simple black dress and a low pair of heels. As I put my suit on, she put on her blonde wig and did make-up at the small vanity Luna made for her.
Once we were both done, we stepped outside to see the Prospect waiting near my bike.
“You guys ready?”
Sav and I both nodded as we got onto my motorcycle. I made sure her helmet was snug before taking off. The Prospect followed behind us as we came out of the alley.
The rest of my brothers were all waiting on Main Street to escort us to the courthouse. Striker, Maverick, Goose, Tank, and Axe, our officers, led us in front while the rest of our patched members rode behind us.
We all pulled into the courthouse parking lot as one, showing our support for my woman. Lily was waiting by her car up front. We all parked in the back and I helped Sav off the bike.
She took a deep breath and reached out for my hand.
“Okay. I’m ready.”
I kissed her cheek, then started walking toward Lily. Everybody waited a few beats before walking behind us. I looked back and my breath caught in my throat.
It was such a powerful image of all my brothers and their families standing in solidarity for Savannah. I could see more people showing up along the street and staring.
Everybody in town knew what was happening today and wanted to know the outcome. Eckhart was going down today, and the people wanted to see it happen.
As we reached Lily, she smiled and looked behind us.
“Quite the support crew you have, Sav.”
Savannah just smiled and looked at me.
“Yes, I do. I’m a very lucky woman to have such an amazing family.”
Lily just nodded. “Great. Let’s get this show on the road then.”
The three of us walked into the court with our family behind us. We reached the courtroom and Lily opened the door. They dimmed the lights as we walked up front.
Everybody took their seats on the benches behind us. Lily leaned over and whispered to Sav. “They dimmed the lights for you.”
I softly kissed Sav before taking my seat right behind her. Eckhart and his lawyer came walking into the courtroom and we all turned to glare at them.
They hurried to their side and took their seats. The doors opened and, to my surprise, my parents came walking in. They glared at me as they took their seats behind Eckhart. I shook my head and Lily turned to look at me.
“Who the fuck are they?”
“My parents. I should have known they had a hand in all of this.”
The bailiff stood, and we all looked up at him. “All rise. Ravalli County District Court is now in session. The Honorable Judge Arthur is presiding.”
We all rose, and Sav looked back at me. I winked, making her smile as she turned back around as the judge walked in. He banged the gavel and everybody sat.
