“Yeah? Mm, I missed you too, baby.”
She signed again.
“I left the house and found myself here. Now I’m wondering why I haven’t been visiting you all along.” I kissed her again. She moaned softly against my lips, and I was a half a second from spreading her wide and fucking into her tight pussy when the door opened.
“Hey, man. Did you order all these breadsticks? There’s like fifty of them.” Shadow said. “And this fucking giant chocolate chip cookie?”
“Yep.” Asylum sat up and put his Cheetos away. “Guilty.”
Shadow put the pizza and items onto the table.
“Stitches. How’s it going?” he asked, glancing to Sirena.
“It’s going. Thought I’d stop in. Find out when you and Sirena are coming home.”
“Oh, uh, it’s up to her.”
She signed to me. It took me a moment to decipher it before I sighed.
“Come on. Sin is fine. I know he hasn’t been all over you, but he’s working through it.”
She signed once more, and I looked to Asylum.
“Oh, firefly.” He smiled at her. “I’ll be fine by myself. You can still come see me. I’ll come see you. Nothing will change.”
She jutted her bottom lip out, making him laugh softly. I watched him approach like a predator before he stopped in front of us and thumbed her bottom lip.
“Soon, my forever girl. I have work to do before I get to come home. Where would we even stay? I think the watcher abode runs low on bedrooms.”
“We have another empty room in the basement,” I said. “We painted it already. Yellow.”
“Yellow is my favorite.” Asylum smiled and went to the table. He grabbed out a slice of pizza and ate.
“How is everything? It’s been a few days since we spoke,” Shadow said, looking at me.
“All is well.”
“It’s not, but you can lie if it helps,” Asylum said around a breadstick. “Get some food. I ordered extra.”
Sirena stood and grabbed some pizza for both of us and returned to me while Shadow got his slice.
“You’re right. Shit’s weird at the house. I overheard Cady and Church talking. I guess it upset me, so here I am.” I ate my pizza.
“What did our pain in the ass do now?” Asylum asked.
I looked at Sirena, who studied me, her brows crinkled.
Fuck it. I didn’t want to keep secrets from her.
“I overheard them talking in Church’s bedroom. Claws wants the baby to be Sin’s. She doesn’t want it to be fucked up like Adam was.”
Sirena finished her slice of pizza and went into the bathroom without looking back. I heard the water in the sink running for a moment before Asylum winked at me.
“She’s brushing her teeth. She’s fine.”
I frowned. “I hope she is. I worry about her. This whole situation is fucked.”
Asylum waved me off. “It’s fine, Malachi. It’ll pass. She’s scared. It’s understandable.”
