Jasper who is still standing at my side squeezes shoulder and says “Yeah, but Banner you still got the scars.”

“She fucked up, but she saved you,” Cole repeats.

Dax gets up with the poker chips placing it them in a cherrywood cabinet “Man ask her the why’s. The woman clearly loves you.”

Jasper whistles “Eighty-five million, I need that kind of money in my life.”

We all stop and look at Jasper. We know full well that he is has money, he just refuses to touch it. Even without it, The Grey has reached platinum more than five times.

“What?” Jasper says as he steps away, he goes down the hall and takes a left “I gotta take a piss.”

“He will never change,” Dax says he sit back down.

Cole flicks his head at me “You gonna deal with Carson?”

His very name makes blood boil “In my mind he is already dead.”

Cole nods in agreement.

Tarek’s phone pings, he takes it out and his face transforms into the most stupid smile.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Cole asks.

Tarek stands up and he fix his jeans “Well gentlemen this has been great.”

“Where the fuck are you going?” Dax asks, looking at him with a puzzled look on his face.

Tarek looks at me like I should know “Why the hell are you looking at me like that?” I ask.

“Penny,” Tarek smile spread wider.

“Wait, you and Penny are together?” I was in shock. If ever there was a person that is not into relationships it was Tarek.

“No, we are not together. But she is trying to get pregnant, so I told her she could use me,” Tarek shrugs.

“What the fuck?” Jasper says as he comes down the hall fixing his belt buckle.

Dax shakes his head “Hold on, you’re ok with being a dad?”

Tarek laughs like Dax said something stupid “I’m not interested in being a dad.”

“You’re just the sperm donor?” Jasper says

Tarek winks points at Jasper “Exactly. She is ovulating. I gotta go. Rhet talk to your girl.”

Tarek runs to the front door and leaves.

We all stare at the closed door.

Jasper digs in his wallet and drops money on the table “Five hundred says he ends up being a dad and married,”

Dax gets up and goes to the cherry wood cabinet, opens it, digs around and walks back to the table with money in his hand “I will have to agree with Jasper and place five hundred on dad to be.”

I scratch my head looking at the men I call brothers “You guys’ place bets on the group’s relationships?”

Cole digs in his pocket, takes out a money clip and pulls out five hundred bills “Five that he ghosts Penny after she gets pregnant.”
