“I leave for six months and all of this happens,” Jasper interjects.
I want to scream or hit something. I feel like I’m losing some part of me. “What the hell do you know? You fuck women with stretch marks longer than your own cock.”
“Meanwhile, I’m not the little bitch in my feelings talking about love.” He sips his drink. “Give me the stretch marks any day.”
I sigh as I think of Zeeta having my baby. She may have stretch marks and I’d love every single one of them.
“What’s really bugging you?” Jasper asks while he plays with a napkin holder.
“I feel like she is hiding something from me. I can feel it in my soul.”
Dax nods his head. “Well, now’s the time to decide what you’re going to do if she is hiding something.”
“What do you mean?” I take another sip of my drink.
Dax waves his hand at me “Are you going forgive her or leave her?”
I frown. “I can’t decide that now.”
“Yes, you can because you already have the thought it’s something terrible,” Coles say.
Tarek places white plates in front of us, “You gotta decide my guy.”
They’re right. I have to decide.
“I’ll forgive her for whatever it is,” I mumble, “Except if she cheats.”
“Do you think she will do that?” Cole groans out.
“No,” Tarek begins to plate bacon and eggs in each plate.
Jasper bends and sniffs his “When did you make all that? It smells so good. Tarek marry me.”
Tarek chops some mint up on the side of me “Shut up Jasp. Do you know why you will forgive her?”
Suddenly, it is dawning on me. “Because I love her. Shit.” I rub my forehead.
“Another one bites the dust,” Cole moans on the marble.
“I can’t wait for you all to fall for someone. I need some reprieve from this.”
“That will be the fucking day. How can you fall in love, when love never wants you?” Jasper’s face becomes somber. We all look at Jasper, wanting to ask him what’s up. However, we know he will tell us in time.
“When it finds you Jasper I promise to be there at your side. Reminding you,” I answer.
My phone rings. I look down and it’s Draven. I know he is with Zeeta; I answer immediately.
“Hello.”
“Mr. Banner, Zeeta and I are at Lakeshore Medical. We had to take her mom to the hospital,” Draven says.
“I will be right there.” I hang the phone up.
“I gotta run.” I grab my jacket up and place it over my arm.
“The PA?” Jasper asks.
“Of course, it is. It’s the only time you will see a Banner fly.”
