Snickering, I pushed his chest so he would get under the water to rinse the shampoo from his hair. “You’ve got to go. No putting it off.” He’d recently met and made up with some of his half-brothers and now they were holding regular business meetings to handle the mage affairs. Nico was king, but he had his half-brothers as advisors and backup.
“I hate business meetings,” he grumbled.
“We all hate the business meeting side of it, but it’s your responsibility. So, suck it up, buttercup.”
He slid an arm around my waist and pulled me against him. “Maybe I’ll make you go with me, since you’re my queen and you should be there, too.”
“Sorry, my day is booked,” I replied with a smug smile.
His lower lip protruded in a pout. “You’re going to abandon me in my time of need?”
My eyes rolled as I rinsed the soap from my skin. “Having a business meeting with your brothers is hardly a time of need.”
“It’s totally a time of need. Who will be there to keep me from dying of boredom?”
Laughing, I finished my rinse and stepped out of the shower. “Dramatic as always.”

Leona stood outside the nail shop, a bright summer dress on. When she saw me, she smiled, but when her eyes found Thor, they narrowed.
Damn, what had happened between them?
It must have been some fight for her to still act like this. She rarely held grudges.
“Let me sweep the building and then I’ll guard outside to give you two privacy,” Thor said and quickly walked by Leona without so much as a greeting.
She bared her teeth at his back as he went inside.
“Trouble in paradise?” I asked.
Her sigh was epic. “Understatement of the year. I’ll tell you more in a bit.”
Thor returned and nodded once. “Clear.”
Leona marched by him, flipping her hair over her shoulder as she did, forcing him to inhale her scent.
The groan he made was so soft I almost missed it, but I hadn’t.
I was even more intrigued now.
Inside, the two women who would be helping us bowed when I entered.
“We are ready for you, Princess,” the woman on the left, a short, curvy woman with gorgeous green eyes said.
The other woman was willowy and ethereal looking.
“Wonderful,” I said with a wide smile. “My friend desperately needs some relaxation.”
Leona scoffed. “Like that’ll happen with the big bad wolf outside.”
“This way, please,” the shorter woman said and led us to two massage chairs that had basins for our feet to soak in.
Leona and I sat and she immediately turned to me. “He got mad because I advised him that I am not going to be monogamous.”
My eyes widened. Leona had always said she was going to be monogamous, so it was surprising that she would change her mind. Unless, she had ended up in a situation that almost forced the change of mind…unless she had met someone new.
“Who?” I asked.
