“I killed that doctor.” She whispered, staring at Mack. “But I didn’t plan it.”
“I know.” I replied, remembering the things she told me about her time trying to escape, slitting the doctor’s throat to do just that.
“I didn’t think I could ever hate someone as much as Damon. But Mack,” She tilted her head to the side slightly, “She makes a different kind of hate burn in my gut.”
“Tell me about it. What does it feel like?” I walked back toward her as her eyes got a faraway look in them.
“It feels like acid. Burning me from the inside out every time I think about how she wants you.” Her green eyes flicked to mine, “How she touched you. How she thought she was going to get me out of the way and move right in on you like I meant nothing to begin with.”
“So,” I held the syringe out between us, “What are you going to do about it?”
Storm’s eyes flicked over to the table of tools and landed on an item before she looked back at me. “I’m going to burn her like the acid of hate burns inside of me.”
I grinned down at her and uncapped the syringe, taking a step backward toward our captive. “Let me wake her up then.”
Storm moved to the table behind me as I stuck the needle into Mack, injecting the reversal into her veins and watching as she moved against her bindings as she regained her awareness.
“Move, Psycho.” Storm hissed, and I jumped to the side as she held a glass bottle in her gloved hand, coming closer to Mack. The woman’s head lifted as she blinked off the effects of the drugs just in time for Liv to douse the front of her chest in the sulfuric acid. Mack’s screams erupted the second the corrosive liquid melted through her clothing, making her fight and strain against her bindings as the acid worked its way through layers of skin and muscle.
Liv set the bottle back onto the table and stood right in front of Mack’s writhing body, where she kneeled down to speak to her. “I once told Maddox that if he ever allowed another woman to touch him like you did, I’d cut her touch from his skin.” Storm tsked her teeth as Mack’s wild eyes shot back and forth between the two of us, “I was wrong though, because it was always you that never deserved to know the feel of his skin on yours. So, I plan to melt every part of you that ever felt it.”
“You psychotic bitch!” Mack sneered through painful pants. “You insecure, fat piece of trash!”
“Aww, she thinks I’m fat.” Storm mocked her and stood back up, picking the bottle of acid back up with her protective gloves still on as she looked at me. “Where else have you touched this skank?”
I raised my brows at her, already knowing she was going to want to pour that acid on me by the end of her little experiment. But she deserved the truth, because that was how she regained her power.
“Hands.” I spoke evenly, and Storm grinned before turning back to our prisoner. “Now, I’m no chemist, but I’m pretty sure this acid would eat through these chains if I just doused you with it.” She pouted her pretty red lips out dramatically, “Better be careful then.” She cheered and poured the acid on just Mack’s fingertips, working from one hand, pouring a trail up one arm, and then down the other one to her fingertips, melting the skin in its path.
I thought for sure after the first wave of corroded flesh met Storm’s nose that she would give it up and quit. But she never blinked an eye as she slowly and methodically tortured the woman who helped Damon kidnap her.
“Where else?” She asked me firmly, with a pointed stare. “I’ve already got her fake tits,” She glanced back at Mack who, to her credit, was still conscious and hadn’t let the pain knock her out. Yet. “I know you’ve touched those; you’re such a tits man.”
I snorted and rolled my eyes. “Ask what you really want to know then, Storm.”
“Did you fuck her?” Storm demanded instantly, primed and ready with a hair trigger of control. “Is that why she was so obsessed with you and thought she’d trick you and me both into getting what she wanted? Did you give her that big dick of yours and turn her into a jealous little girl when you told her she couldn’t have it anymore?”
I crossed my arms, “I never fucked her.” I replied firmly. “She’s not my type.”
“Mmh,” Storm pursed her lips in disappointment.
“But she kissed me once.” I added, and Storm’s green eyes flicked up to mine with excitement in them.
“She kissed you, or you kissed her?”
“She kissed me,” I repeated, “Years ago, on a mission.”
“Hmm.” Storm turned back around to face Mack, who was looking a little more delirious with each passing second as the acid worked deeper into her body. “Is she going to die from what I’ve already done?”
I eyed the woman up, knowing that Mack was probably one of the most stubborn people I knew. “Not likely. Not for a long time, anyway.”
“You know,” Storm took a step toward her, “I’ve always been told I’m a bleeding heart.” She was speaking to Mack alone as she towered over her in her thigh-high boots, “And it’s always gotten me more grief than it’s worth. But I think this time, I’ll choose to help you out, anyway.” She kneeled again in front of Mack and waited for the prisoner’s eyes to focus on her face a few feet in front of her. “I’m going to erase the proof of Maddox’s body ever gracing your fake one, and I’ll make sure you find your way to Hell before too long into the process.”
And with that Liv stood up and poured the bottle of acid down the front of Mack’s face, sure to stand to the side so there was no splashing back onto her as Mack screamed, ingesting the acid and drowning on it as it melted her airway and lungs.
It took only a minute for Mack to stop breathing completely, but I remembered the way those seconds could tick on when I first started killing people, so I remained silent as Olivia simply stared down at the woman until she was long dead.
“Holy fuck.” Storm’s hands shook slightly as she set the empty bottle down on the table and tore the gloves off, ridding herself of the gear like she couldn’t believe what she had just done.
