Chapter Four
Much later that night…
Jesse scuffled to his front door, the pounding loud enough to wake the dead. The adrenaline was starting to kick in enough that it was waking him up. Who the hell was banging on his door at three in the morning?
He looked through the peephole and saw Hayden leaning on the door.
Whipping it open, Jesse watched as Hayden nearly staggered over drunk. Instead, he landed on Jesse and nearly took them both to the floor.
“Hey, Bestie,” Hayden whispered drunkenly.
“What’re you doing here?” Jesse looked out and saw Hayden’s car parked slightly sideways in his driveway. “You drove like this?”
“Not far. I had to come see you.”
“Hay, this partying needs to end before you kill yourself or someone else.”
“Sshhhh,” Hayden said, pressing a finger against Jesse’s lips. “You’re the reason I drink.”
Jesse frowned. “What?”
Hayden pushed Jesse up against the wall. Before Jesse could figure out what was happening, Hay’s lips were on his.
Jesse tensed, the feeling of Hayden kissing him sending out warning signals. He pressed both hands on his friend’s chest, ready to push the man away…
But it felt too good. He knew it was wrong… Hayden was drunk… but for a split second, he closed his eyes and just lived in that moment. The feel of Hayden’s lips on his was firm, the hairs from the beard scratching his face.
Hayden leaned in slightly, his cock hard against Jesse’s thigh.
Jesse almost moaned. His lips parted, and Hayden pressed his tongue inside.
Stop him… before it goes too far…
Jesse instinctively kissed back, enjoying it too much to let go.
Finally, he pushed back. Hayden stumbled back a few steps and stared at him.
“What are you doing?” Jesse asked him before lifting a hand to his mouth.
His lips ached from that kiss… and the want for more.
Hayden moved in closer again. “What we should’ve done a long time ago.”
He tried to kiss Jesse again, but Jesse knew this couldn’t continue. Not like that. Hayden was drunk and didn’t know what he was doing. The last time he’d tried something with a drunk person, it hadn’t turned out well.
That night slammed into his brain.
Watching Hayden being sucked off. Stroking his cock… coming… need for more pumping in his veins.
“You need to sleep this off.”
Hayden smiled. “In your bed?” he whispered.
“On the couch,” Jesse shot back.
Hayden pouted. “Oh, come on… you know you want to.”
Jesse had buried all those thoughts long ago. Now was not the time for a resurrection. It would destroy them.
