Roark laughed then thrust into her making her gasp. Her legs wrapped around his waist then she groaned not in desire, but what appeared to be pain and dropped her legs.
“Roark, this hurts my ass. Roll over.” She pushed at his shoulders so he rolled to his back then she straddled him and slowly lowered herself down over him. They both moaned as she settled onto him.
“Does this hurt you? I don’t want to hurt you.” He groaned when she lifted herself then slid downagain.
“No, this doesn’t hurt, trust me… it feels so good. You feel so good.”
He pulled himself up into more of a sitting position with her on his lap and kissed her. “You feel good too… but you need to move faster. I want it fast and hard. It’s been too long,” he whispered against her mouth.
“Too long? Almost a month is nothing. I need to make this last to make up for the year I haven’t had sex at all. Damn, Roark Callahan, you are one hung cowboy, and I don’t even like cowboys.”
Roark laughed. “You like this cowboy though… so move, damn it.”
Priscilla threw her head back and laughed then squealed when he rolled her to her back, got onto his knees, sat back on his heels and lifted her up so that theback of her thighs rested on the tops of his. She lay stretched out and open to him with her legs wrapped around his torso.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry,” he said. “I have to do this.” He growled low in his throat as he continued to pound into her.
“Yes, oh yes. Harder,” she pleaded then gasped when he picked up the pace. She lifted her hips in rhythm with his. Her hands reached above her head and grabbed onto the blanket covering the tent floor.
“Now, Priscilla. Now,” he groaned as he came. She cried out his name as she followed him over the edge then he leaned over her hot, breathless body and buried his face in her neck. “Damn that was good.”
“Yes. Best ever. I might have to do that proposal after all,” she said, laughing.
Roark laughed along with her at her joke. “If it’s always that good, I might beat you to it.”
“Will you sleep in here with me tonight?”
“No, but you can if you want or you can sleep with me in the sleeping bags. We can zip them together and sleep under the stars.”
“No…I’m too afraid to be out in the open.”
“You think you’re safer in here if a bear wants in?”
“You’re scaring me,” she whispered.
“I’m not trying to scare you, darlin’… just being realistic. I’ll keep you safe, I promise.”
“All right.”
Roark stretched out, pulling her back against him. “Let’s eat. I seem to have worked up an appetite.”
“Me too.” She sat up and reached for her clothes. He watched her as she started to dress. He liked watching her do most anything.
Roark pulled his jeans on and then his T-shirt. After tugging on his socks, he pulled her close and kissed her forehead then crawled out of the tent. Once outside, he pulled his boots on then went about making a fire. He lit the kindling then added logs.
Soon the flames reached for the sky. The logs crackled as the fire wrapped around them and the smell of burning wood filled the air. Roark ran his hand down his face and looked to the tent.Damn! That had been the best sex he’d ever had and as much as he hated to admit it, he’d had more than his fair share of women. Being on the circuit, buckle bunnies were there for the taking and he’d taken quite a few. He glanced up when she emerged from the tent and he already wanted her again. Shelooked his way and gave him a shy smile then walked over to where he sat and took a seat on the log beside him. He watched her as she rubbed Snowy’s ears.
“Are you all right? I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
“If you did, I don’t remember. Roark, that was…” She waved her hand around.
“Yeah, I know.” He moved closer to her and took her hand in his then kissed the palm. “Fantastic doesn’t seem to cover it.”
“I know. It was worth the wait.”
“It was worth no sex for a year?” he teased.
“Oh yeah, and I’ll be waking you up later.”
