Roark groaned making her laugh. “Just let me rest in between, okay?”

“Of course.” She laid her head on his shoulder.

“I need to get some more wood so I can keep the fire going all night. It will get chilly up here.”

A howl ripped through the air making her emit a squeal. “What the hell was that?”

“Wolf. He’s not close though. The sound echoes off the mountains.”

“How many?”

“Could be just one howling to his pack. Don’t worry about it.” He stood. “I’m going to get some wood.”

Priscilla jumped up. “I’m going with you. There is no way I’m staying here waiting for a bear or wolf to show up.”

Roark shook his head. “You’re paranoid. Come on.” He took her hand and led her into the woods.

****

Priscilla clung to him as he led her into woods. The setting sun made the air much cooler. She followed him and glanced around then back to hisass in those tight jeans. She ran her eyes down his long legs to his boots. His jeans were straight-legged and bunched up on his boot and for some reason she found that incredibly sexy. Although the heels on his boots were worn, they still added at least two inches to his height. Her gaze traveled back up to his broad back admiring how his T-shirt hugged it and the sleeves were tight around his biceps. The man wasn’t lacking in any area and she knew that for an absolute fact. He definitely knew how to treat a woman in bed too.Well, a tent anyway!Using his fingers, mouth, and body, he’d easily brought her to three orgasms. She shivered at the memory of each.

“Are you cold?” he asked glancing over his shoulder.

Smiling, she shook her head. “Just the opposite. I was just thinking about that great sex.”

Roark groaned. “Stop.”

“Itwasgreat. I’ve never had three orgasms––” She let out a little squeal when he suddenly turned around to push her back against a tree, and took her lips in a hard kiss. She relaxed into him, wrapping her arms around him.

“Want to go for four?” he whispered as he moved his mouth across her cheek to her ear where he took her earlobe into his mouth and sucked on it.

“Roark, you’re killing me. I can’t believe I want you again so soon.”

“I feel the same but it will have to wait because if I don’t get us some firewood, we’re going to get cold.”

“I’m sure you can keep me warm.”

“Evil. You’re an evil woman… and I like that,” he said grinning. His dimples peeked out in his cheeks.

“I think those dimples are so sexy.” She laughed when he frowned. “You don’t like them?”

“Nothing I can do about it one way or the other. It’s a Callahan curse,” he said with a shrug.

“Well, I happen to like them, a lot.”

Roark chuckled then let go of her hand and squatted down to get some logs. He handed her a few of them then filled his arms and nodded for her to go ahead of him. Another animal sounded and she froze.

“It’s just an owl. Go on.”

She could hear the laughter in his voice. “I know you think it’s funny but I’ve never camped out in the woods and all these sounds are scary.”

“I’ll protect you,” he whispered close to her ear.

“I hope so because I’m not leaving your side all night.”

“That sounds promising.”

She looked over her shoulder and grinned. “Oh, yeah… I plan on following that happy trail.”
