Page 28 of Sinful Little Lies

Can your horny ass wait until Leo is dealt with before you go hopping to the next one, you whore?

A small smile breaks from my lips and I push the laughter down, hoping the boys don’t notice. I bite my lip to hide my obvious smile. Of course, it’s something more. Grimm wouldn’t care about getting rid of Leo for me, if he didn’t want something more. At least, I hope that’s true. But his protective nature gets me every time.

Are we about to torture and murder the piece of trash that has eliminated my self-worth and sucked my life dry for years? Yeah, I’m one-hundred percent sure that’s where this is headed right now. And I’ve never felt happier, or hotter for that matter.

He turns and gives Leo a slap on the cheek. “Are you paying attention? You’re going to want to know how to play.” He looksback toward me again, “As I was saying, Leo here will have to guess a letter to the word I have chosen and for every one he gets wrong, we get to remove a part of his body.” His smile is so large it looks like it could split his cheeks open.

Grimm twirls the axe in his hand as he steps up to Leo’s bare chest. My heart starts to hammer in my ribcage as he drops the axe and whips a blade out from his back pocket. I watch him as he carves lines into Leo’s skin. Blood beads along the cuts and drips down his torso before falling off and staining the cement floor.

Seven lines later, the board is set. Leo sputters above him, spit leaking from his mouth as he shouts, “You’re fucking crazy!”

Grimm just laughs as he brings his face to Leo’s. “You have no fucking idea.” He smiles, the image wickedly beautiful.

“Alright! Guess a letter,” Grimm singsongs. “B,” Grimm immediately starts laughing a full on belly laugh as he walks over to Leo's hand. He presses the knife to his pinky and cuts through the flesh and breaks the bone with such ease, I’m impressed. “What a fucking idiot. Who doesn’t start with a vowel?” He scoffs. “Guess again.”

“I! I!” Leo chants. “Very good. See? Now you’re getting thehangof it. See what I did there, V?” he asks, facing me. Finally, free to release my giggles, I do, and my hand flies over my mouth. Leo looks at me, his eyes widening with shock at my participation.

Grimm carves theI’sinto their designated spots and I can't help but wonder what he's chosen. Leo get’s the next two guesses wrong and Grimm removes two more fingers. He looks over at me before outstretching his hand, the bloody knife held between us. “Do you want to try, little monster?”

“I-I, um, I don’t know. Maybe I should just watch,” I say with hesitation. Grimm nods, accepting my answer. “Well, alright hon-”

No, fuck that. I deserve a chance at this too. It’s not like I’d ever be in the position to kill someone again and who better than Leo? In all honesty, what the actual fuck am I waiting for? Interrupting Grimm, I take the knife from him and stare into Leo’s eyes. “On second thought, why not?” A menacing grin creeps across my lips and Leo stares back in not only disbelief, but fear.

“What’s your next guess, baby?” I mock him. Leo takes a deep breath and shakes his head. The fear is practically expelling from his pores and it feels so good to not be on the receiving end of things for once.

“Uhh, J?” he asks, his voice cracking and his hot breath touching my skin. I’m not pleased with our proximity but he’s restrained and hanging like a piece of meat so I know I’m completely safe. I look back at Grimm to see if Leo’s guess was correct. He shakes his head and I turn, my own heart racing.

Fuck, okay V. You can do it. Remember all the absolutely vile shit he’s said to you over the years. The countless amount of times he’s put his hands on you and forced you to bend over for him. Show him how much it hurts. Show him pain that he couldn’t even fathom in his worst nightmare.

I glance at Grimm and he nods with great encouragement. His smile is proud, like a teacher watching their student pass a really hard test with flying colors.

Grabbing Leo’s mutilated hand, I press the knife into his skin and begin to dig the point of the blade into each layer. It severs fairly quickly, blood trickling down my sleeve and blooming through the fabric. The bone is a bit hard to snap but with persistent pressure I break it cleanly, the sound like music to my motherfucking ears. I want to hear it again. I snatch the last finger on his hand and slice through it with more force this time. It takes less time for it to detach and the snapping of bones rings in my ears like a beautiful melody, once again.

His screams fill the dirty dungeon and I let out a guttural laugh. “VERENA! What the fuck, I didn’t even have a chance to guess!” Leo shouts, upset at my deviation from the rules.

Pouting my lips, I ask, “Did you really think you were going to make it out alive either way? You heard the man; he said you’re done. Muerto.”

“Hey Leo, pretty soon living is a privilege you won’t have either!” Grimm lets out a laugh filled with malicious promises. Gripping onto his stomach, he leans forward and places his other hand on his knee. Only he would find the humor in this madness, and it is the farthest thing from sickening.

I walk over to Grimm and hand him the knife. “Fill in the blanks.” He nods, stalking straight towards our plaything. Once the word is complete, Grimm steps back showcasing his latest piece of art. Blood oozes and drips down Leo’s chest, a crimson puddle forming underneath him. I can’t help but laugh when I read the word Grimm chose to mark him with.

DIPSHIT

Grimm raises his eyebrows and asks, “Well, what do you think, little monster? You like it?”Yes the fuck I do and it’s most certainly not the only thing I like. The urge to rush and tackle him right now is strong. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to hold back.

Sauntering towards me, Grimm lowers his face until he’s aligned with my ear. “Take a look in the bag; use whatever you’d like. You can do it. You are resilient, Verena. End it on the best fucking note possible. I’ve got your back and I’m always here for you, but I want you to slay your demon on your own.”

Walking over to the duffle bag, I look inside at the contents. Blades of every size and grit stare back at me, but one sticks out like a sore thumb. Its handle is jet black but intricate carvingsfilled with silver blanket every inch. The blade is long and clean, begging to be used. Begging to be covered in that copper scent.

I pick it up and turn towards Leo. My emotions flow to the forefront of my mind. My lips tremble as I take in where I am and what is seriously about to go down. I am taking Leo’s life. I am the one he will succumb to.

“Fuck you!” I scream at the top of my lungs. Tears begin streaming down my face like a waterfall and all control I’ve had over my emotions diminishes into ashes. “I’m tired of being your punching bag! You ruined me, Leo. You broke me down, weathered and eroded my spirit, time and time again. You’ve done it for the last time!” I cry out, my chest heaving.

The adrenaline rushes throughout my body and it feels breathtaking. Heat funnels to my core and I beeline to Grimm. I wrap my arms around his neck and bring him in close. Our lips brush and I inhale. Taking in his scent, I exhale and say, “Thank you for fighting for me. Before we kill him, we need to do one more thing.”

Grimm frantically nods and responds breathlessly, “As you wish, little monster. Name it and I’ll do it.”

Dropping the machete, I say, “Fuck me, Grimm. Take me. Own me. Show this prick who I really belong to.” I look into his eyes and bite my lip.
