“Dude she was making me hard so she could ride my cock and she thought I’d just fall back to sleep. As fucking if. Then we were at it for three fucking hours.”
Finn laughs. “Is that why you look so tired lately? You too old to keep up with your young baby mumma?”
“Nah, I’ll never be too old for her. She keeps me young.”
And it’s the truth. For now anyway. I may be in my early forties and Jaxcen in her mid-twenties, but there’s something about our union that makes me feel more alive than I’ve ever felt.
“How are you still standing, man?” Finn asks curiously, and I shrug.
“Why do you think I lock myself in my office every morning when she goes into the bakery to work? I’m catching up on sleep on that shitty old couch.”
Throwing his head back, Finn laughs before clapping me on the back.
“I was gonna ask why you don’t just go up to bed in your suite, but my guess is you don’t want to risk her catching you having an old man nap just to keep up with her.”
“Shut up,” I grumble, even as my lips kick up. “So, is it ready?”
“Yep, here are the keys.” Finn dangles the keys between us and I accept them, slipping them in my pocket before I turn and walk out of the Palace.
“Let’s do this.”
Jaxcen - Part 2
My cheeks hurt from smiling so much, but I can’t help it. I feel so full with life, love, and happiness. Marilda and my sister Presley conspired and planned the most wonderful baby shower and gender reveal I could ever hope for, and I’ve been made to feel so much more special than I ever imagined.
It’s been a beautiful day, Main Street closed off as they do so often for town celebrations, decorated in all things baby.
There are so many gifts. Clothes, blankets, cute teddies, all for this bump that keeps kicking me from the inside. I have no idea how we will fit all the gifts up in Devon’s suite.
Today is an unusually sunny August day, hinting at spring, ready to kick winter to the curb. Spring is the season my baby is due to be born.
In less than a month.
I’m more than ready to meet the little future soccer player or karate expert given how well he or she kicks. Every time I sit to relax, the little devil starts using me as a boxing bag.
“Areyou ready?” Marilda asks, smiling at me as she rests her son Damon on her hip. “The next part of today’s events are happening at the cliff.”
I beam at Marilda as Presley insists to everyone else to go ahead, and excited anticipation rushes through me.
The reveal.
We are going to do the reveal soon, and I’ll finally know if this baby is a boy or a girl.
“Where’s Devon?” I ask, glancing over my shoulder to look for him, but can’t see him anywhere.
“I think he’s already there.” Presley beams, offering me her arm where I hoist myself up off the chair, my free hand rubbing over the eight month swell of my belly.
“Well, let’s go and find out who this is in here.”
Presley and Marilda beam, walking with me slowly towards the grassy town square that leads to the cliffs.
We chat as we walk, talking about all the gifts I’ve been showered with today, and it takes me a moment to notice that the lush green grass under foot starts to become covered with rose petals.
Frowning, I glance up to see that we are at the foot of a rose petal path, lined with our friends from the town gathered along each side, and up ahead, standing all the way over by the cliff’s edge on his own, is Devon.
“Why does this gender reveal feel like I’m about to walk down the aisle?” I whisper to my sister and friend, who both giggle, but don’t answer me other than Presley saying, “Go to your man.”
Feeling rather exposed with all eyes on me, I start walking over the rose petals and quickly forget about everyone, because up ahead is Devon, and the closer I get, the more I can see his eyes locked onto me, onto every step I take, and I’m drawn to him like a magnet.
